Wow Moggy, those are great, thank you! Especially "Hip Teens Don't Wear Blue Jeans" (LOL) with Miss Tiki, et.al. The Arctic Monkeys are so young and cute. Style Council shows how beautiful England is (parts of it) in their vid, and they have a mellow sound, and it's interesting the two guys are shown stroking each other. I'll have to check out more of theirs. Also more of the others'...thanks for turning us on to new things. Another good one from Kate Bush is "Rocket Man" video and the way she performs that Elton song...it's probably an old video but it's enjoyable.
Glad you liked them.....I think the style council vid was shot at Cambridge ( or was it Oxford ? ) Mick and Paul are not gay by the way ( not that theres anything wrong with that ....Seinfeld ) I hadnt heard of the Frank popp ensemble until last year.......but this was my most played album of last year.... If you liked the style council vid....there are loads on my female singers /Paul weller thread. Another good vid Lord Large ( wrote by the style councils Paul weller when he was 15 )
on a similar theme moloko Keren ann Talking of Kate Bush......i love this song / vid Cool one from the style council -
Thanks for your suggestions, "No More Lonely Nights" song and video have always been great faves of mine, also "Cloudbusting." Freddy Mercury's singing, so histrionic and bombastic, for me is an acquired taste like Edith Piaf's, but I'll check those out, I know he's fanatically adored in many circles. Will check out your other suggestions, Moggy when Kate Bush gets done singing "Cloudbusting," LOL, your choices are always worthwhile to see and hear, one finds. Many thanks again

No probs I forgot this
I find that vid incredible.......and is a very positive vid for young people -

Well said. But it is Freddie NOT Freddy.

Wow, just caught the Keren Ann one, she's got a nice pleasing laid back sound and love the visuals too. Will have to see more of hers, had not heard of her previously. Will check out your others soon as poss. Guess I ought to go work some (Darn it... but v. glad to be employed) now.

Good. Kate Bush´s "Cloudbusting" is a very good video ( featuring Donald Sutherland ) and a great song.

I nearly came back on and added that....it puts you in a good mood. I think i will watch it when i get up EVERY morning This is a cool song / vid wolfman ft Pete Doherty- for lovers
This isnt a official vid (i dont think : ).but good The Go ! Team - Junior kickstart (great group ) I do like vids with dancing in them , as long as it isnt cliched ( Jackson/ modern R&B, sugarbabes, girls aloud ones just flashing bums and tums) David Bowie ( love that....it will be stuck in my head all night now ) Thinking about it i DO like vids with bums and tums ops: By the way , if you like the Keren ann song ....give this a listen. i was about 40 when that came out....and i felt sorry for the carton ! ops: -
Oh you added more vids, Moggy, that's fab. Can't wait to check these out soon as able, sometime later today, many thanks, again!

I think that one of my favourite videos of all time is "Window in the skies" by U2. It's cool to see all those bands. I like that kind of "retrospective" videos; like "Dani California" by RHCP, "Nth Degree" by Morningwood... and, of course "Free as a bird"
-
oh! I forgot "Coffee and TV", which is not a retrospective video, but it is so cool.
-
"Love Song" the lovely single/music video by Sara Bareilles :- Pure BLISS!...
-

This is bonkers dont let him waste your time - Jarvis Cocker -
"I´m Yours" the new excellent Single/Music Video by Jason Mraz :- Delicious. Pure Joy for this Spring.

This video is not bad.

"Coffee and TV" is fantastic . I love Blur . This one's great (it's got Phil Daniels in it, too ). Plus Damon's just too cute . I've had a huge crush on him for years ops: . "Parklife" is a fantastic album, as well :
Also, can't have a music videos thread without any Tom Petty videos . Those things are GREAT !! "Into the Great Wide Open" (I think I remember reading that Johnny Depp was actually in a band before becoming an actor....maybe I'm thinking of someone else, though -

Non-Paul ones? Could be Paul too though Today I saw some of my fave music vids on Youtube again: Stevie Nicks "Rooms on Fire," Cyndi Lauper "I Drove All Night," The Cranberries song "Dreams," Til' Tuesday "What About Love" and "Coming Home," Scissor Sisters "I Don't Feel Like Dancing," Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon "Late in the Evening" from Concert in Central Park, Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson "Beauty and The Beast." What are some of yours?
Love that video, amongst my favorites indeed, just as Time After Time and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. But, in my opinion, the best music video of all time is Thriller, by Michael Jackson, I'm not a huge fan of his, but the video is amazing. I also like Madonna's Like a Virgin and Like a Prayer... Can't really get out of the 80's in the music video thing, since I basicly dont watch them at all since that time... :

"Can´t forget about You" by Nas featuring the beautiful Chrisette Michele,Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole :- Classy music video/song.
