"Coffee and TV" is fantastic . I love Blur . This one's great (it's got Phil Daniels in it, too ). Plus Damon's just too cute . I've had a huge crush on him for years ops: . "Parklife" is a fantastic album, as well :
Also, can't have a music videos thread without any Tom Petty videos . Those things are GREAT !! "Into the Great Wide Open" (I think I remember reading that Johnny Depp was actually in a band before becoming an actor....maybe I'm thinking of someone else, though -
SusyLuvsPaul:
Non-Paul ones? Could be Paul too though Today I saw some of my fave music vids on Youtube again: Stevie Nicks "Rooms on Fire," Cyndi Lauper "I Drove All Night," The Cranberries song "Dreams," Til' Tuesday "What About Love" and "Coming Home," Scissor Sisters "I Don't Feel Like Dancing," Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon "Late in the Evening" from Concert in Central Park, Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson "Beauty and The Beast." What are some of yours?
Love that video, amongst my favorites indeed, just as Time After Time and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. But, in my opinion, the best music video of all time is Thriller, by Michael Jackson, I'm not a huge fan of his, but the video is amazing. I also like Madonna's Like a Virgin and Like a Prayer... Can't really get out of the 80's in the music video thing, since I basicly dont watch them at all since that time... :

"Can´t forget about You" by Nas featuring the beautiful Chrisette Michele,Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole :- Classy music video/song.
-
Can't wait for new stuff from these guys . One of their best videos, imo, and one of my favorite videos. The subtle nuances within the music are fantastic. How the melody matches the picture perfectly at times....I love how the lightning flashes to the sound of Paul's drum. One thing that makes Alex such a good front man, imo, is he just gets it in terms of musicality. I can't think of too many people who do, but when you watch him preform, the movements he does with his body and on his face, accent the music at certain times. It's great to watch because his musicality is brilliant: "Walk Away":
Muse have some awesome videos. Really futuristic. Matt is one of the best new guitarist out there (probably my favorite). He reminds me of Tom Morello....really inventive: -
Wow, Paul McBeagle...heavy stuff. Good, too, thanx, very moody and atmospheric Do you have any more to share?

I love both Muse and Franz Ferdinand . If you liked those you should check out their albums. Franz have 2 and are working on another soon....Muse have 4, just came out with a live CD/DVD and are working on another one soon. I' haven't seen either band live yet, but want to . Both seem like really good live bands. Muse look amazing. They have an amazing light show and Matt Bellamy is an AMAZING guitar and piano player (it's beautiful to hear him play) . I mean, the guy is phenomenal on both instruments:
Both bands do have darker themes. Franz Ferdinand have more of a pop element, with underlying darker themes. Muse are more darker sounding. "Elenor Put Your Boots On" - Franz Ferdinand: One of my favorite songs of theirs: "What You Meant": One of my favorite Muse Songs, "Ruled By Secrecy"....Matt's piano playing is really pretty: This videos kind of neat (all their videos have the same futuristic feel): "New Born": -
For some reason I always have a hard time finding other people who like REM . I LOVE REM . "Losing My Religion" is such a great video . It reminds me a lot of Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box". Now that's true 'alternative'. Not some of these newer bands who just called themselves 'alternative', but are essentially pop bands: "Losing My Religion"
I don't know, music makes me excited . Sometimes I guess I just run my mouth off . -
Many thanks for providing more links to those cool bands' music, Paul McB. Will love to check those out. REM is a good Southern band out of Athens, Ga. They don't sound Southern like the Allman Brothers, for example (LOL) also from Georgia
-
Maybe my favorite REM song....only video I could find of it : "The Ascent of Man":
Thanks . I've enjoyed reading your posts, as well . I like learning things and you seem to know a lot about some artists that I don't know very much about. -

You really like Coldplay don't you ? I love Coldplay . Are you seeing them this time around? I saw them last time and will be seeing them again on this tour. They are a fantastic live band !! They look so young here . I didn't know Chris liked The Stones : "Shiver":
I like this Coldplay video best probably, because it's really neat how they made everything backwards : "The Scientist: This one's cool, too : "Talk": -
Weezer have some really funny videos, but I think this one is their best . Definetley one of the best music videos: "Buddy Holly":

-
(LOL) That Weezer video is an old fave. Seeing it made me think of "Happy Days" and how hot to trot those boys on it were. Which reminded me of my high school, half the school or maybe one third was shagging, while the others were almost 100 percent "pure," and I fell into the latter category. Darn it (LOL)
