Your Thoughts on Ed Sheeran?
-
I caught the VH1 storytellers Ed Sheeran concert last week and found I rather fancy more of his than assumed. Not long "rap folk" ditties though theyhave their moments. Sheeran has a high voice, reminds you of Adam Levin? He gets references in to the ages sixteen and seventeen, influenced by former tour mate aylor Swift's reaching out to the very young, I thought that's where he gets that. He looks so pink with the pink skin tones, orange hair and ginger facial fuzz. He's a nervous almost scared seeming performer. Jumpy, jittery, doesn't seem extremely self confident. I would not mind listening to an entire album by Sheeran. He sounds quite sensitive too.

Ed Sheeran, it appears, isn't a big hit in these parts Probably some here would rather see "Rockshow" on VH1 Classics showing right now Monday nite Feb. 26
-
I can't imagine that Sheeran and Taylor Swift had an affair while touring. Or anyway don't want to envision that, LOL
-
He is so boring! His music sucks.
-
Come on say what you really think

He's just too... Sensitive!

I guess I like it that Sheeran sounds so Irish or British or English when he sings. I guess he's Irish. That Vh1 gig was held at a small venue in Dublin, they let him choose where. That kind of icky longish "rap/folk" song of his isn't all that sensitive, but I know what you mean. I might not mind listening to Eddie on a somber rainy day, lying on the bed reading and drinking tea. His album might get old fast. And I would come to feel nauseated by it. But maybe not.

Ed Sherran must be better than thought of in these parts. His album "X" was nominated for top Grammy best album of the year

He's English. Saw him at The Grammy Salute to The Beatles I went to last year. His contribution was In My Life. Not too memorable, not really his style either. Not bad though. Heard a couple of his on the radio. Thought he was pretty good. What sealed it for me though, was his performance on the Grammys. Thought he was excellent, a real stand out.

Not bad kind of good but at the same time not something I'd probably sit down and listen to very often on my stereo. I think he stylistically (from what I've heard) sound a bit like a continuation of Van Morrison, which I think is a good thing, his voice is a bit boy band-esque, he lacks the Van growl.

An online article asserts that musicians' brains are superior and highly developed and all that due to their musical prowess, and the picture the writers chose to go with the story is of pink-skinned "Ginger" Ed Sherran-- I know I love Macca's songs, I love his mind, and feel that way about some others too. This article's theme probably has some veracity.
-
Susy, have you heard 'Thinking Out Loud'? It's beautiful
-
He was here in the Philippines last week. He was a nice guy. He granted interviews but he seemed camera shy.
-
Yeppers it's a good 'un... Macca will record a single about food with Sheeran, to benefit children's knowledge of nutrition or such...for a good cause
-
(Laughs) Ed Sheeran commented recently that he thinks he and Taylor Swift look like characters from Lord of the Rings movies.
-
Hes not my cup of tea at all
-
That new song "In Stitches" by that teenager Shawn Mendes--he sounds inspired by (or ripping off?) Ed Sheeran's style. I sort of like that song but sort of don't like it, at the same time (double minded).
-
Ed shown in picture nuzzling a cat, says "I was born loving cats"--huge point in his favor (and red jeans).
-
Did anyone here know that Ed S is on the show "The B*stard Executioner" (small but recurring part) and he also sings the title song of the show?
