"Joan Osbourn Sings Bob Dylan" new cd coming out--should sound pretty good. Tori Amos seeks comeback too with new album, soon.

Beyonc? helped out in her native Houston after Hurricane Irma. Read a Beyonc? biography by J. Randy Tarborelli--she started performing in girl bands at age ten ! Kept right on plugging away at it until attaining her superstar status, for many years. Kept on with her clean living, never drank, took drugs, Sure paid off for her. All that singing, dancing and performing since age ten, and all the laudable "clean living." Am glad for her. Carly Rae Jepson has written "hundreds" of new songs--am jelly. Kelsi Ballarina said she's composed well over one hundred ditties. Pop for the former, country for the latter, one assumes or perhaps in different styles, at least for Jepson. Inspiring. I don't see how they wrote that many songs in a relatively short amount of time...might have exaggerated some.

Sad to hear Selena Gomez's Lupus is so severe she had to get a kidney transplant Lady Gaga says she herself canceled concerts due to being in terrible "physical pain," but didn't say what from. Makes one wonder if her complaint is serious. Life threatening.

I read the new LCD Soundsystem album features songs about aging from the lead singer/songwriter James Murphy, who is middle aged. Interesting to check that out. Also found out the 2004 cd from Arcade Fire had a theme of grief for lost loved ones through death--will seek out those lyrics to read. Not just the typical rock and roll themes of romance, sex, drugs, partying-- that's fine, too, but there are so many other subjects to write about and explore through songs.

"The Cher Show" about Cher's career is set for Broadway in 2018, with an elated Cher calling the show, like her life, "exciting, wonderful and bizarre." Broadway will probably honor songbirds Dolly Parton, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Tina Turner, Carly Simon, Marianne Faithfull and other icons with shows, as it already has for Carole King. It's possible Lana Del Ray's song "Cola" is "about Harvey Weinstein," according to Perez Hilton.

(LOL) Lenny Kravitz reported caught chomping on chocolate at the ultra posh Paris opera house, was asked to relinquish his snack, and he refused ! I'd thought it's mainly females who are like that about chocolate

Zendaya sported Stella McCartney's empowering women tee shirt on the new Glamour and Stella wore it inside with an inspiring interview about her (Stella's) feminism. I hated the Zendaya song I heard one time, but might like others of hers. She remarked she might not be taken seriously "because of my Disney past" which I found endearing of her to say. She claimed she's not interested in promoting "me or my career" but in social activism, which might well be true. She seemed quite sincere.

Cher has two numbers in the upcoming "Mama Mia" movie sequel starring Meryl Streep (the two also co-starred in "Silkwood")--"Mama Mia" grossed $860 million world-wide, a real feel good movie musical ("Abba" songs), looking forward to the sequel.

Glad to hear, hope they do it in Greece as well! Really liked the first one

Courtney Love was said to be all over Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a recent Canadian tribute show to Leonard Cohen. LOL. Saw a picture of her with Justin in the middle and Lana Del Ray on the other side of him, in the new RollingStone mag with Elon Musk (who keeps warning us highly advanced really speedy robots might kill us, as if we don't have enough to worry about) on the cover.

Today is Little Richard's birthday (he's 85), called "The Queen of Rock and Roll"

"Tina ! The Musical" based on the life of Tina Turner is set for London's West End theaters coming soon in 2018. Where did they find somebody talented enough to tear it up like Tina ?? And how?

Sweet-faced John Legend will star in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar Live" on Easter Sunday 2018. Was struck by reading this, as I'd recently wondered how I could feel closer to Jesus (just don't feel it much) and thought, "Maybe if I saw 'Jesus Christ Superstar' musical again."

A new Broadway musical set for April showcases the songs and career of disco queen Donna Summer.
In sad news, Eric Clapton revealed he's "going deaf."

Hopefully hearing aids can help that.

Sarah Bareilles will play Mary Magdalene in "Jesus Christ Superstar Live" on t.v. Easter Sunday. John Legend, I think, will play Jesus (?).
Petula Clark, age 85, is still doing her thing, saw her singing somewhere in a photo, looked good with blonde curly hair and a fuller visage.
-
Ed Sheeran will marry his girlfriend Cherry to make her "Cherry Sherran" a pleasing-sounding name methinks

A Texas calf (baby moo cow) was born "looking like (Kiss star) Gene Simmons which has saved her from the pork chopping block.
"Genie" sports black and white facial markings like the rocker's painted visage, and even sticks out her tongue like Simmons ! Many have been making the pilgrimage to Kerrville, Texas to see the Kiss star celebrity cow look alike. Simmons has "no beef" with this happening and is said to be thrilled.Prince Harry and the ubiquitous Meghan Markle were seen "hanging with hipsters" at Brixton's Represent "underground" radio station in England. How cool.
Is actress Katie Holmes a "Deadhead"? She took daughter Suri, 11, to see the Grateful Dead documentary "Long Strange Trip," in New York. Will Siri want to grow up to become a druggie hippie from seeing this? Maybe not suitable for tykes? What do you think?
I saw a recent picture of Jay-Z in a burgundy velvet suit, with an attractive new hairstyle, and he's lost a lot of weight and looks rather handsome, the best I've ever seen him appear. Beyonce, too, was really stylin' in sort of a retro 1950's checked black and white dress and really cool shoes and coat. She rented a movie theater for her and Jay-Z to view "Wonder Wheel" for Jay-Z's birthday--uh oh, a newish flick by suspected perv Woody Allen--maybe the couple are big Justin Timberlake and/or Kate Winslet fans, actor/musician and actress who star in "Wonder Wheel." (?)

Sir Elton John threw hissy fits when fans he allowed onstage in Vegas while he played "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" sinned twice when one threw "Mardi Gras beads" at him and another kept trying to get him to "high five" while he (Elton) tickled the keys--should have known he could not high five and play piano at the same time ! Sir Elton perhaps should have known some fans would be drunk and/or stoned and act out on stage with him. Especially in Sin City Vegas (Fun City)...you think? I feel sorry for the great music man, that he was shocked, hurt and offended. He's quite the temperamental artiste. And rightfully so. #NotJustADiva

Beyonce and Jay Zee hosted a top secret ultra exclusive after Oscars party...might give rise to more "illuminati" rumors, that they're members of the Illuminati (whatever that is) and that's why and how they rose to fame, LOL (?)
David Bowie has eight new albums or singles coming out. Must have been recorded before his demise. Well, duh
Faith Hill and Tim McGraw said to be "calling it quits" after a "luxurious tropical holiday" had "pushed their marriage to the brink"--funny, one would assume a fancy tropics vay cay would have the opposite effect, be bonding, LOL. Probably a fake news item. Usher and wife really are splitting up, however. Pity.
Loretta Lynn broke her hip "January 1" which makes you wonder if the mishap occured during a drunken holiday celebration chez Lynn--Loretta confessed in a book she wrote that her clan is prone to inebriated brawls at special holiday get togethers. She will probably still appear on stage on tour even if in a wheelchair. She's real hepped up over her new album...pretty good, for age 85, might be 86 by now
