Don't know if this has been asked on the board...if you could see Paul live at any venue in the world...what would it be? And why?
Original Cavern before Liverpool council decided it would be a good idea to fill it in. My Dad used to go down to the lunchtime sessions.
I agree-- and add to that--front row seats!

University Stadium, Albuquerque NM USA. Why? Because I live here and Paul has never played here.
Somehow I guessed that one!

Wish Sir Paul would come to Cleveland...hasn't been there since 2002 I believe?!
I second that! First time I saw Paul was in Cleveland of April 2002.. It's sentimental to me! But I'm really rooting for Pittsburgh for a little less travel

Cavern Club or Abbey Road studio. For the sentimental and historical reasons!

Im hoping for somewhere in Kentucky too. Although not very many venue's to choose from. I wish YUM center was an option it would ve perfect. And from reviews from stones concert at Churchill id say its out of the question.

Why is it out of the question? Is it merely that the arena naming rights are for a fried chicken franchise? Or is there more to it?

In the Amazon, which is where I live. There's a big soccer stadium here, and Paul is a well-known supporter of the environment and the preservation of our rainforest. I actually talked to his PR guy (Stuart Bell) about it last year, so who knows?

Yeah i think its just the chicken thing for the yum center. Churchill downs had a few bad reviews for the stones concert there. Wasnt very good viewing angles for the fans. A racetrack just isnt a great venue for concerts. Although it is a historic venue and would be awesome to see Paul play there.

A race track is difficult, given the shape of the venue.

I couldn't see the Yum Center either. Paul came out asking folks to boycott Kentucky Fried Chicken for the cruel ways they treat the chickens . I can't see him playing there as he'd be blasted by press and fans alike.

I know. Still, it's not THEIR arena, just the name. But I get it.
-
Well I could see him maybe doing a show at Freedom Hall. I'm not sure how much it seats. A return to Rupp would be nice because they're actually adding seats to it. Churchill Downs is a venue I could never see or any racetrack. The Down's is also not in the best area of town too.

Too bad the press and fans wouldn't blast the Yum Center instead of Paul! How many of them are vegetarians and really know the score on KFC? :
