Candlestick Park?
Candlestick was an American football stadium, though years ago baseball was played there before another ballpark was built. Still hoping it will happen this summer though!

It won't be Minneapolis as the All Star game is there on July 15th. That does however mean all the others will be empty. Down to 26!

Dodger Stadium

Wrigley doubtful - Billy Joel is playing there on July 18th, so not sure there could be 2 concerts in one week, what with all the rules and regs for the neighborhood. Maybe Pittsburgh? Bob had that Black and Gold clue, and the Pirates became the Pirates in 1891... :

I was going to say Pittsburgh, for no other reason than it was the first stadium that came up when I googled Baseball stadiums!

Dodge Stadium perhaps?

Dodge Stadium perhaps?
Yeah, that was my guess a few posts above. There aren't that many "iconic" major league baseball stadiums!

Dodge Stadium perhaps?
Ooh, I hope so! I remember a story from a while ago that said that Paul's people were scouting out the stadium for a potential show there... http://www.examiner.com/article/report-paul-mccartney-discussing-a-show-los-angeles

I think I have it. Philadelphia - Citizens Bank Park (home of the Philadelphia Phillies). First of all, I checked and the Phillies do not play at home the entire week (July 14 through Sunday July 20) If it is a Northeast site, Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park makes sense because: *Paul has never played at this beautiful venue *Citizen's Bank just started doing concerts a couple of years ago including Bruce Springsteen. * Paul would have no trouble selling out (holds from 40K to 45K) because of this central location. Not only the greater Philadelphia Market but it is relativey easy to draw folks from New York down through Baltimore and Washington Dc.j * Paul has already played at the New York new baseball stadiums and he played last year I believe in Fenway (Boston Red Sox). Washington National's new park is another possiblility. Since I will be living in the Philadelphia area this July, I am hoping it is Philly. Can't wait to hear. Maybe he would be doing both parks.

No one is playing that week as it's all star week

Wasn't there talk last week of a headlining concert during All-Star weekend in Minneapolis? The list of rumored potentials included McCartney, but also a handful of other A-listers as well.
-
He just played nationals ballpark last year as well as Fenway. Jacobs field in cleveland. Camden yards baltimore. Citifield and Yankee stadium...but supposedly not there. Candlestick could be the iconic park. Petco park in San diego. Aforementioned stadiums in Philly and Pittsburgh. Marlins park Miami. Tropicana Field in tampa. The list can go on. Are we just talking ballparks or football stadiums too?
-
Don't forget Isotopes Park in Albuquerque! Iconic Triple AAA baseball!
-
I don't think this is the one but I wouldn't mind Turner Field in Atlanta. Former Olympic stadium, scheduled to be torn down in 3 years. Macca Hasn't actually done a concert in Atlanta since the Green Concert in Piedmont Park in 2008 and a ticketed seated show since 2005 at Philips Arena. I'm just hoping he does a show somewhere within a decent driving distance of Atlanta so I can take my 11-yr old son to see him. RamblinRed

Black and gold, and 1891 are the hints? Could it be PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates?! Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert are playing at PNC Park on July 26th though...
