Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

Wasn't there supposed to be an announcement today at 10am EST for other cities being added to the tour?
Maybe tomorrow, since their so busy with all the other cities tickets going on sale today.

I got the Gold package to Albany. The pre sale website is a joke and bravo to anyone who managed to get tickets from that. It royally pi**es me off to see so many tickets on stubhub already. Non floor seats for $2,000+, you'd have to be stupid to pay that considering the VIP package is 2k. rant over.
Yeah, as the presale started, I checked stubhub as a backup and was pretty irritated at how many were already on there as jacked up as they were. If I'm left with that as my only alternative, I like to wait until the week before the concert. Sometimes some great deals come through as people just want to sell their tickets instead of eating them. $2,000 for anything non-VIP is outrageous.

Its outrageous but it should be criminal. I got mine as I didn't want to risk waiting but luckily its my birthday the next day so my wife was willing! May sell them if there is a weekend west coast date that we could make a holiday out of (if anyone wants a face value gold package in the future let me know!)

MaccaReport says that a show in Chicago at the United Center is rumored for July 9th.
Now I'm excited. He hasn't done the U.C. since '05. I really wish he'd return to Soldier Field. Concerts there are awesome, and he closed the '89/'90 World Tour there. But this works too!
I saw him there in '05. It was great. I hope he gets rid of that extra stage of his.
The only decent hotel nearby (and not very) is already booked up July 8-10.
I just checked available hotels in Chicago for July 8th and 9th. There was only 0ne hotel less that 1.5 miles away. Most available hotels were 2 miles and more from the United Center. How is traveling from the United Center after a concert?
Just be careful where you go.
Thanks! I hope Mr. McCartney gives me a reason to look into it further!
You're from New York. You have no reason to worry. The hotels around the UC aren't good, but plenty of very nice hotels in the city. Taxi is the way to go. The CTA doesn't stop very close to the United Center. Pedicabs are there too, but I want to run those people over in my SUV. They are terrible. You don't need to worry about the neighborhood. But these people from 'Elvis Country' do!

Yea, I was right there when the pre-sale got active, as soon as I put my email in it kept putting me thru to New Orleans?.I kept trying, same thing?then got thinking, maybe I should try the other ones and by hitting Pittsburgh, it got me thru to Albany?which was sold out of the pre sales by the time I got thru?..last time I used the PM presale it worked smooth as silk?was up with that ? Well, ended up with the uber expensive Gold VIP from Tickmaster?just don't tell the wife

The trains don't, but there is a bus that stops right in front of it, and there are also special event buses that run before and after (but not too late afterwards) that will go all the way to north Michigan Avenue. There are not a lot of taxis around after shows, in my experience. Chicago does have Uber for anyone who already has an account for another city.

True.

I wish!!!! Just 45 minute drive for me!! If I could get him to play DC, Boston, NYC and Atlantic City I wouldn't need to travel at all this time out!

The wait for some shows closer to home continues...

Does anyone have any experience selling the gold package (or other vip packages)?
