Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors

He didn't sell out one over there that year? 2010 was a GREAT time to see his show. Amazing setlist.
No one unless a boy band sell out 70,000 seater stadiums in this country really nowadays! Like i said, Paul usually plays Arena's instead, ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 capacity and somewhere in between - and those are always full! We do love him here, honest!!! Keep your fingers crossed Zoe, hopefully we'll get some shows. I do understand financial problems very very much, i've been in a deep mess many times, for years, but luckily my sister paid for some of the gigs we've done and for others i borrowed I couldn't miss Paul - but i understand your reasons for doing so, so don't let people get you down.

I predict 2015, will be reminiscent of 2012 for the US.

...nobody knows when he is going to call it a day so if he does do any UK concerts I would make it a priority to at least see him once live.... Cheers Joe
There was talk in 2002 that tour might be his last. He's still going strong 12 years and several tours later. One illness is not gonna bring that guy down. I believe he'll be rockin' and surprising us all for many years to come!
Let hope so!

I'm feeling Spring in the UK, Summer in US, Fall in SA. I mean, Out There can't be a 3 year tour. I think 2015 will see a new show. With a new show comes USA leg. Doubt Paul will stop in the US. But considering he's done 40 US gigs in the past 2 years, I wouldn't mind UK getting more. AT ALL.

Hi just read the news of yet another Paul Mccartney tour for the USA ,this year while im happy for the USA fans, why hasnt Paul come to his home county, ive been a fan for 38 years from the UK and I havent got to see Paul at all, theres millions of fans that would love to see Paul in the UK,what is going on? why go to USA twice in one year you get to get to see him every year.Does Paul care about his millions of UK fans who love him like me? Rod Stewart and Elton John do an Annuall UK tour for there home fans, I would rather see Paul any day then them.
How can you not have seen him in 38 years? He has played the UK a LOT of times in the last 38 years. It is what it is. Maybe he will play the UK later this year, or not. If I have learned anything, complaining about it here does not help.
See it's responses like this that make me shake my head, especially to those who keep saying "You've got no excuses to have not seen Paul, or he's been here or there many times, why haven't you ever gone?" As I've explained so many times on other threads on this board, life happens, things happen, circumstances happen. Just because some here have had the chance to see Paul many times over the years, doesn't mean others have due to things going on in their lives at the times he's been near. Maybe somebody who's been a Paul fan for years and years hasn't been able to see him due to money factors, timing, not being able to travel etc. I'm one of those, I've been a Paul fan since I was a child and I didn't even get to see him until 2010 due to things going on in life.

A bit harsh there - a 70,000 seater stadium (4 stadium shows IIRC in 2010 - glasgow, cardiff, london, dublin) is not likely to sell out for most people - esp as he was playing to 280,000 fans in those 4 shows if sold out. Arena's at 10,000 to 15,000 have all been sell outs or near cenough when he has played the last 10 years, such as Manchester, Liverpool, or London O2. Your post does lead people to no doubt do the usual Paul bashing of the UK - such as the one above saying come to south america instead!! (i speak as someone who has been at that Cardiff show, along with about 20 others since 1990 btw!)
LOL but in SA Paul sells out big football stadiums! Like the ones you can see on the world cup playing now. We're talking 50-60 k per show.

My point is a good one. It's not like he has only played the UK once in the last 35 years. He has performed there many, many times. I understand some folks may be in a situation where they could not attend for financial reasons, so my advice is to wait until he plays your area and go see him. That's pretty logical, don't ya think? We know there are fans in the UK and it has been a long time since he's played there (Gasp! Two years!! Australian fans just took notice! ) But certainly he will perform there again and anyone there who has not seen him will be able to. How about his fans in Hawaii or Alaska? Or China? He has NEVER performed in those places. He has performed in the UK PLENTY of times. Many, many opportunities to see him there.

Sheesh! All I've been trying to say is for folks on this board to stop giving others a hard time because Paul has been to their country many many times and they haven't had chances to see him for whatever reasons in their life just because others have seen him many times! I'm not talking about places he hasn't performed yet that's got nothing to do with what I'm saying here! :

So far there are rumors of concerts in Brazil, either in September/November (hard to believe) or April/May (more likely). A few capital cities have been mentioned, some in which he has never performed (Brasília, Salvador, Manaus, Belém), some that were included in previous tours (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba). Even if those negotiations are not successful, I bet someday he will at least return to Rio, to perform at the renewed Maracanã Stadium, which was one of the many highlights of his solo live career. But still, he has just returned to Uruguay (same stadium as in 2012), Chile and Peru (different venues from the 2011 shows), so I will not be surprised if he returns to cities he has been to before in Brazil, especially because they now have new and modern stadiums that were built/renewed for the Soccer World Cup. Because of that, he can still claim to be playing in new places and at the same time he will not need to worry about ticket sales, as he has tested that market before, always with good results. It's a win/win scenario, both financially and artistically.

I just read that the Who are touring the UK from the end of November through December. If Paul is considering this, it would probably be many of the same venues, no? So his team better get going and booking while they still can! http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2014/06/the-who-announce-50th-anniversary-tour.html?utm_source=PMNL&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=140630

I doubt Paul would do a UK tour of that magnitude (and that's not even THAT hefty....)

Yes and that's great, but as i said in my other post NO ONE (apart from boy bands like one direction) sells out multi stadium shows in the UK, no one, not nowadays. It just doesn't happen. So to pick on Paul for "only" selling say 55,000 seats out of the 60,000 available in a stadium is a bit picky and harsh!!!! (But this forum seems to have gone very picky and harsh lately, so what do i know..)
