Is winter usually that severe (enough snow to cancel flights) all over Europe throughout november/december?
Most of northern and central Europe knows how to handle snow during winter, it's usually only the UK that is not prepared for it and cancel flights and close schools as soon as there's one inch of snow on the ground.
That's interesting. I wonder why artists (such as McCartney did between 2009 and 2011) would choose to play in the UK during that time of the year, instead of going there under better weather conditions?

I suspect there is more money to be made in other markets for him during that time when weather is best in the UK. Just a hunch.

I suppose the best weather in the UK would be between April and August?

Maybe at times it simply snows too much. It happened to me twice, once i was flying from Paris, and once from Milan ... both flight were cancelled. These are the moments i forget how much i like the snow . Expecially when Paul is at the opposit side of the flight

The snow isn't usually bad enough to cause any prolonged disruption. The weather certainly isn't bad enough to influence concert planning.

The man is a creature of habit--will you not agree? Doesn't he usually spend the Christmas holidays in London close to his kids and grandkids? I think that would account for the traditional locations of his winter gigs. I'm just sayin'... Austin 5/22/13 Sound check! I won't be there tonight, but will be in Pittsburgh and Chicago. But is anybody else a little nervous at how he'll do tonight, and if it will tire him out or anything?

I'm sure he'll be fine. He's gotten plenty of rest over the last few weeks, and I'm confident he'll be in great shape for performing!
-
Fingers crossed!

People talk like it's going to be socked in all winter. Weather doesn't work that way. Snow falls, snow melts. Just like that. More likely it will be cold, rainy, and foggy. But all of G.B. is smaller than California, and Paul has lived and worked there all his life. It's home. He's used to it.

That's good to know. Let's hope there will be concerts for our UK/EU friends then!

No kidding. Clearly Paul likes to play with our emotions and make things as difficult as possible.

If there are still details to work out about venues...no one should talk about it yet.
