WixRocks!:
Ringo is going to be in LA for his birthday (July 7th) this year....perhaps Paul will be involved in that again and it can once more lead clues as to where Paul's personal touring may occur.
Wix, I think Paul's attending the Ringo show in 2010 was unique in that it was a "landmark" (70th) birthday event.
Yeah, we'll have to wait for Ringo's 75th for Paul to show up again!
Sounds like a plan! And for what it's worth....I also think location had a lot to do with it as well

That's why I think he will tour Europe sometime between March and June, and the US in July/August.
That goes along with my theory that he will play Candlestick Park late August.
-
Ringo Starr is touring the USA this summer from June 6, 2014 to July 19, 2014. He is playing Albuquerque July 9!! Yeah yeah yeah! I wonder what this means re McCartney shows this summer?

Can someone tell me..... When there's a rumour with a source to it... is it confirmed or is it intended to happen but no exact details have been booked yet? Because I emailed Marshall Arts and got this reply: Dear Frankie, Many thanks for your note concerning possible Paul McCartney concerts in the UK this year. At the moment, there are no confirmed shows in the UK ? but we are hopeful that this will change at some point this year. Until then, we have to ask your patience. Is this good or bad? I'm so confused.

I wouldn't call that a rumor. McCartney, it seems, has not committed, at least publically, to any shows in 2014. I speculated that McCartney would wait until all the 50th anniversary hoopla was over, then announce dates. That may happen. But then Ringo went and has dates announced for his summer tour, in the middle of all this celebrating. Which is pretty smart!! I hope we are not witnessing another missed McCartney opportunity. Why not announce a new tour in the middle of all this Beatle attention? Even Motley Crue has announced a major tour for this summer!! C'mon, Paul!!

I was referring to the rumour I heard from someone I know. They said something is on the cards for the UK, but then Marshall Arts say nothing is confirmed... So what I wanted to know was do rumours come from confirmed details or from details that are planned but not yet finalised.

Both. In this case, it sounds to me like they are trying to get some gigs to happen, but nothing has been signed/confirmed/agreed to/committed to.

Oh, ok. I was responding to you single post. Yeah, that's a rumor!

Well he has done at least one show in 2014. At the Grammy Salute to The Beatles he was live on Monday night! He played a 7 song set in top form, with 2 songs featuring Ringo Starr!

I'm talking about tour dates, full on concerts. Ringo did that Grammy salute too, and has announced a full summer tour of the USA.

Ringo's touring schedule is different from Paul's, as Ringo always announces dates quite few months in advance, while Paul usually makes such announcements just a few weeks in advance. That's due to his custoday arrangements, as was mentioned in this recent interview: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/the-beatles/10586530/Sir-Paul-McCartney-interview-Im-telling-my-entire-life-story-here.html I'm sure that a couple of months from now Paul will begin announcing concerts.

I know. My point is that this is a pretty exciting few days of Beatles events that could be topped off with new concert dates. Having said that, McCartney certainly has no problem selling tickets, so I suppose it is a non issue.

As you just said...he has no problem selling tickets...hence no early announcements.

C'mon. Of course you are. But he has already played a live show in 2014.

So far, Ringo has about 28 dates announced for 2014. McCartney? Zero. I like to think McCartney designs his tours around Ringo's so Ringo can have the maximum impact! I suspect more McCartney dates are coming. Probably announced next month.

Paul plays Fedex Stadium, Ringo plays the Toledo Zoo. The dichotomy is amazing.

One was the co-lead singer in the Beatles, a front man for the band, sharing that role with John Lennon, and was a co-writer of some the most memorable songs of the 20th century. The other was the drummer in the band. It is a testament to Ringo's Starr power that he can sell out 2,000 to 4,000 seat venues. What other drummer can do that?

Hearing late spring/early summer for Europe/uk. Don't go crazy, just a rumor and remember, never really official until Paul announces it.

That would be cool!
