RIP Ray Manzarek

I felt this needed a thread. Ray passed away at 74 today from cancer complications. His influence on my keyboard playing is far more prominent than any other keyboardist and this is very shocking to me. I was blessed to see Ray (and Robby Krieger) in September on what is now, his final tour...third row just behind Ray, never gonna forget that one.

such a terrible loss they said hoax but by this time,i guess its true i text my brother about this and he like called me right away and was shocked about the news RIP ray,you will be missed here

RIP indeed. His work will never be forgotten. Check out Hyancynth House off of LA Woman. Great song and great keyboards.

They played 'Light my Fire' as a tribute to Ray Manzerek on the radio yesterday, terrific musician, a sad loss.

Was listening to the Very Best of The Doors again just last week. His keyboard sound so influential. Sad to hear of Ray's passing. RIP Ray Manzarek.

Man, I love The Doors! I was really sad to hear of Ray's death. So sad for his friends and family.
