I put together a fantasy concert I would enjoy from youtube clips, most of them are live concert performances. See below. I enjoyed listening to it, hope some of you might also.

      - Take It Away
      - That Was Me
      - My Brave Face
      - Hope Of Deliverance
      - Beware My Love
      - Run Devil Run
      - Lonely Road
      - All Things Must Pass
      - Every Night
      - Too Much Rain - Acoustic
      - Lonesome Town
      - Ive Had Enough
      - Bluebird
      - Fine Line
      - House Of Wax
      - Young Boy
      - Get Out Of My Way
      - Party Encore

this would be assuming it would be done with pre 05 vocals. Left in a few Beatle hits and such that it'd be weird to have without in a show. Completely unrealistic, but that's the point. 19 Beatles 12 Wings 10 Solo (although if he did play this it would be balanced, only half Beatles Venus and Mars Rock Show Jet Another Girl Old Siam, Sir Penny Lane I'll Get You Getting Closer Take It Away You Won't See Me Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five Beautiful Night Here There and Everywhere No More Lonely Nights Wanderlust Things We Said Today That Was Me I've Just Seen A Face Mrs Vanderbilt Love in Song Friends to Go Here Today (sorry, once again i do love this) Something (^^^) Queenie Eye Fine Line Your Mother Should Know Lady Madonna Lovely Rita Silly Love Songs Please, Please Me Arrow Through Me The Night Before Let It Be Maybe I'm Amazed Hey Jude So Glad To See You Here Band on the Run A Day in the Life Golden Slumbers Carry That Weight The End

_____________________________________________ Yankeefan, Love your "fantasy concert"...thanks so much. I think you and I are the biggest Paul Solo fans in the world. I've enjoyed looking at the youtube clips. What's even better is that you have all the additional wonderful choices of Paul songs (so many Solo ones and b sides) on the side to continue watching even more songs. One I really loved is Paul and the '89 Band doing a rehearsal run of Put It There in his little studio. It is called Put It There MP4 if you see it. I actually think Paul's voice sounds better on this live version than the studio version. It also has very nice harmony vocals with Hamish Stuart. Love it at the end when Paul looks over at his excellent drummer Chris Witten and they do the ad lib additional ending that is not on the studio version. I would certainly add that song to your list of my fantasy show. It you find it, take a listen and let me know what you think.

_________________________________________________ Too bad he didn't use that kind of balance from 2002 onward and with a good amount of changes (especially solo) with each tour. I realize that certain signature Beatle songs would have had to be played at each show.

The set list that started this thread would be a fabulous show -- one we'll never, ever see. We can all imagine a few other tunes we'd love to hear, of course, but this one would be just fine. Sigh...

Thanks. My idea was to put together a set list of post Beatle songs that I believed would make a most enjoyable concert for people who would be willing to give this music a chance. I also wanted to try and find live versions for the most part. Like you said, we all have a version of our dream concert - lol

                    Maybe I'm amazed !!

Thanks BJ. I thought it would be fun to put together a post Beatle set list of songs I really enjoyed and hoped others would like it also. I wanted to try and get live versions of these songs and for the most part succeeded. It is a shame that most of these songs were rarely if ever played for more than one tour. I also wanted to include some 50's rock because as I have said a bunch of times, McCartney is awesome doing 50's rock. The other fun thing in watching these clips is seeing the different bands and of course Linda McCartney. Below, I am going to mention a few song clips with a comment. Take It Away - For years I hoped for this song would be be done live, not going to happen. I love this clip because it has Sir George Martin, Ringo, Linda McCartney and John Hurt. That Was Me - Never understood why he did not do this more, I think the clip shows the crowd liked it very much. I think it is one of those things where European audiences are more into his solo songs than Americans. Beware My Love - This song just rocks and was one of my Wings favorites, wish he would have done this one but it would have had to happen a bunch of years ago to handle the vocal. Run Devil Run - great original song in a 50's style and fits in with the covers on this album. Love the band who played with him on this record and a few appearances. All Things Must Pass - wonderful version of this song and wish he would have done this once in awhile as tribute to George. Too Much Rain - Love this song and it is a neat acoustic version and it is funny that he forgot part of the lyrics. Bluebird - McCartney played almost everything else constantly from BOTR, wish he would have done this one again after 1976. House Of Wax - Another song that he played only a couple of times and wished it was done more often. Very moving song and love the guitar solos. Party - Excellent 50's song that I thought would be great way to end my fantasy concert, neat having Lulu sing with him. IMO it looks like she has a 'thing" for Paul. Lucille/Rockestra - Great combo and can you imagine how good his current band would do Rockestra. Soily - the current band would rock the heck out of this song, McCartney could not do the vocal now but probably could have done it in 2002.

                      Maybe I'm amazed !!

The idea behind my set list was to have all non Beatle songs that I have loved over the years and I wanted it to be realistic. That is why every song but "Take It Away" was done live in concert or on TV/Radio broadcast. I liked your set list and would enjoy it but I think we both know there are a couple of songs that he would never had dreamed of playing live.

Isn't the video you speak of included in the deluxe FITD CD set?

_______________________________________________ Didn't buy the Deluxe FITD Set but it probably is the same one you mention above. It is not one of the clips from one of the Flowers Tour shows. It appears to be just a rehearsal at one of Paul's small studios. It does contain the small bit at the end that Paul continued to use once the Band got on the road with the tour. I do think that Chris Witten drumming on this tour and the album is great. Have you seen him on any of the festivals/cruises you have done.

No, never saw Chris Whitten in person. I don't think he ever appeared at any con or festival. He kind of just dropped off the radar after leaving the band, but I see he is still drumming. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Whitten

During that tour, McCartney introduced him before the song "Coming Up" as "young Master Christopher" - lol

                                    Maybe I'm amazed !!
