"Take On Me"-- by A-Ha Played about a billion gazillion times on radio and MTV in the 8o's Oh--also "Don't You Forget About Me" by the guy who was married to Chrissie Hynde--oh yeah his band was "Simple Minds" and he's Jim Kerr.( I think) gawd, did I get sick of hearing that one, although I kind of liked it
I love both of those songs! Don't you forget about me is a stupidly good song. I like most the songs mentioned in this thread actually! ops: I love Abba songs. Abba goes in and out of fashion, like The Beatles. When I first got into Abba, it really was a secret because they were so old and sad! Then Mamma mia came out and they were cool for a bit. When I first got into The Beatles, they weren't a very fashionable band to be liking at the time. But right now, The Beatles are hot! But I don't care if they're popular or not, I love them any way. xXx

Guilty pleasures? A lot of the songs here I would gladly sing in a decent sized, mildly filled auditorium.

Macsback Right, I'll know who to avoid during Christmas and New Year when I'm sauntering around Glasgae city centre and hear some cat being strangled in one of the bars.... I'm a lover not a fighter when I've imbibed too much, and I have been known to dance naked. Sad but true! But being a northern bloke when I dance in me birfday suit I always keep me socks on.... I've only once done Karaoke and got
.....made a right pigs arse of it and swore never to do it again. Funny thing is I've known and loved the song all my life and blew it!.... : Leo's 'Show' is a good choice though, forgot about that one. Friends tried to get me to sing on Wii or some such nonsense but it was all trendy modern bands whose songs aren't made for singing karaoke style. Now give me some Elvis or Frank..... -
I love Christmas carols and most holiday songs and already can't wait to hear them...not religious at all here but those carols are a delicious guilty pleasure.
