Saw Felix C. at AROTR in 2016. This year was Peter Noone (loved him!) The Grass Roots, Mark Lindsay and Ambrosia.
-
Nice! I've seen Mark Lindsay on two former Happy Together tours and really he brought a lot to the show too. He's still in great shape!!

About 3 weeks saw Phil Collins at the Liverpool Echo Arena, had to do the show sitting down which he explained at the start. None the less it was a great show and his son is drumming for him, he sure has learned his craft from Phil. A good mix of songs playing the old favourites plus some rarities, yes age has caught up with him but felt he still delivered the songs well, The Liverpool crowd were in fine voice and was a really enjoyable evening
Why did he have to sit down? And why couldn't he do his own drumming?
He recently had a back operation and is walking with a stick, his son (Nick) who is about 16/17 carried the drum duties off brilliantly, the other band musicians have also been with him for a number of years.

Tom Petty was on fire tonight! Great set...missing a lot of songs I was hoping to hear, but a well crafted show nonetheless...and just impeccable musicianship across the band. Peter Wolf was a riot as well opening the show. As for the venue? Every time I have the misfortune of entering what is now the "Royal Farms" Arena here in Baltimore, I pray that Paul never attempts to play there. It is garbage. However bad you are imagining it is right now, I assure you that it is worse.

Last 2 shows booked for the rest of the year.. Paul Heaton and Jaqui Abbott at the echo arena in december, The little Steven at Liverpools o2 academy in november A slow year concert wise to be honest but rounded off nicely.
-
Adding Puddles Pity Party to my list! Nov. 17th at The Lincoln Theatre in DC, new venue for me too!

This year Arcade Fire. Next year, Shakira. And who knows who else? Maybe Paul will be playing somewhere near me next year!
