Madness booked for just before christmas who knows i may get someone else before hand yet.

I met this guy at the Elton John concert in Birmingham, Alabama who was going to see The Zombies the next week in the same town. I wonder how it went? He was paying $75.00 more dollars to meet them all backstage. I always liked The Zombies.

I saw The Zombies last year at a very small little community college theatre for $20, it was a stellar performance. Colin Blunstone (Vocals) and Rod Argent (Organ) are the only original members but frankly, they were The Zombies. I may be taking my mom to see Cher & Pat Benetar at Verizon Center Sept. 29th...we'll see how Monday's sale goes.

Cool! Yeah, I was going but I went to see the other Elton show in New Orleans. Have fun with your Mom at the Cher and Pat Benetar show. My Mom went with me to 2 out of the 3 Elton John concerts this year and she LOVES him!

Got the Cher tix....Mom will be totally surprised. 6/12- Ringo Starr- Wolf Trap 7/7- Paul McCartney- Consol Energy Center 9/29- Cher & Pat Benatar- Verizon Center ....and considering we just saw Billy Joel, it looks like this might be it for me this year! Very light on the concert announcements....oh well, my wallet doesn't mind! I'm still reeling from all the spectacular shows I've seen lately.

Seeing Slash in november and i think that will round the year off concert wise, assuming of course Paul doesnt pull something out of the hat (i have my doubts though)

So Dolly Parton last night,i thought she was very good but i dont know it was missing that..whats the word "something" that would have set it apart, shes very good when she sings live, she does clearly take a break and ahem "sings along to abacking track" shall we say and it has to be said is very funny, but the show was the show was..a little too perfect shall we say,no a bum note,no room at all for improvisation nothing,it scripted to the very end. But minor gripes i suppose i enjoyed it but the hubby looked like he wanted to go to sleep at times, and yes he does like Dolly so something was a miss from it,so one im glad ive seen but i doubt i would go again.

Tonight is Sir Elton John and Band in Virginia Beach, Va. that I have tickets for and also have tickets to see him in Charlotte, N.C. on the 14th. I can't go though because last month my Mom fell and broke her hip, and last Friday I fell and broke my right foot again. So both of us cannot get around. We sure are going to miss seeing Elton again. But things could be worse.
-
Sorry to hear that! I'll be driving to Virginia (Wolf Trap) tonight for Ringo!
-
Looks like another slow concert year for me I saw The Monkees in Bethlehem PA in May Last week I saw a tribute concert called "Randy Rhoads Remembered" in Asbury Park NJ Only shows I have lined up for the rest of the year so far are Ringo in Red Bank NJ next week Macca in Albany in July Brian & Roger (Queen) not sure which show yet but will definitely attend one Dave Davies in NYC in November
-
Just saw Lit the other week and they were pretty good. I'll be back at the same venue in about three weeks' time to see The Stranglers.

Here's my VERY Detailed Ringo review....http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=88185&start=120 A slow year for me too....I've checked Billy Joel & Ringo off the list, and have Macca in Pittsburgh & Cher/Pat Benatar in DC left.

So The Eagles the other night in Liverpool, what a night a sheer masterclass is singing, guitar playing and showmanship,3 hour more or less of hits and a few deeper cuts from the catalougue made for a wonderful evening. Hard to put a finger on any one high point, but Frey was in a very good mood and at times was bloody funny and Joe Walsh is Joe Walsh he was brilliant, song highlights of course had to include Hotel California(though Joe did seem to be struggling a touch with his guitar on that one it sounded better for it too though). The dreaded price..i went for cheap seats at first then when i saw there was much better seats left i upgraded them and boy am i glad i did, they simply were worth the money and more besides,es they're expensive but worth every single penny without question.

Just got back from seeing Ringo in Clarkston, Michigan. Oh, My, Gawwwwwwwd what a fantastic concert! Ringo's voice was great and he looked great. His drumming was beyond excellent! He was so happy and having fun. All the songs were great but of coarse Ringo's were the best!. It was thrilling, impossible not to get up and dance. Unbounded joy! I hope he comes back soon!

Might be seeing Judas Priest & Steel Panther at Harrah's in Atlantic City this October if my grandparents can get us tickets! The perks of having family with a gambling problem....
