August 5- J.Cole in Long Island September 15- Paul McCartney at Madison Square Garden Really hoping Bruce Springsteen will release his long-anticipated solo album and do his first solo tour since 2005 but not looking too good.... A boy can dream. Bruce solo is unbelievable. Bone chilling. Also hoping to catch Kendrick Lamar in Brooklyn in July, but also unlikely. Please don't remind me that I'm missing U2 this summer. After seeing the rehearsal setlists, it just stings. I'll just cry in the corner now

            7/15/11- Yankee Stadium
            6/8/13- Barclays Center
            7/5/14- Times Union Center
            8/7/16- MetLife Stadium
            9/15/17- Madison Square Garden

            Thank you Paul!

You've got quite the lineup brewing! I saw "Whose Live Anyway?" tonight, not exactly a concert (although there was plenty of improvised music), it featured Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, and Jeff Davis of Whose Line is it Anyway? fame, plus Joel Murray filling in for Chip Esten (of WLIIA) while he films Nashville. Pure hilarity from all four all night long! I have seen Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood's show twice in the past and even got to meet them after one of the shows. All of the 'whose line' guys are incredible live and I recommend any assortment of them that you can catch!

Wife and I attended 'The Mersey Beatles' gig at the Halloran Theatre here in Memphis in February. They are playing a return gig there in October. They will feature the entire Sgt. Peppers lp at this show. We also have tickets to see Michael McDonald at the Orpheum Theatre in November. Have not seen him since the Doobie Brothers show at the Mid South Coliseum back in October 1980. Cindy has never seen him before so she is in for a treat.

Well, saw Roger Waters last Friday in KC. Visually stunning, but his voice is pretty shot. And I could have done without the constant Trump bashing. Just shut up and sing.

This is still unconfirmed by Bruce's people but it is probably happening. Although I don't think anything was said specifically about him playing solo acoustic. Just that it will be him and not him + E Street. But betting for a $$$$ and tough ticket, yes.

I'm already sweating about getting tickets. I got tickets last year for the 300 seat event at the Apple Store, but something tells me this will be a whole different animal. I'd love to snag a ticket to just one show. That's all I need haha

Saw Roger Waters at Staples Center in L.A. last Weds. He was in fine voice. The Trump bashing was not constant, it was for three or four songs in the second set. It was mainly a fine and enjoyable Pink Floyd show. But if you are a Trump supporter, don't go...he gives Trump a royal thrashing!

Saw the Happy Together Tour tonight and it's definitely the best I've seen. There's truly no dead weight like the previous two I saw *cough cough* Gary Puckett...Gary Lewis...Billy J. Kramer *cough cough* Chuck Negron & The Cowsills are absolutely stellar. I'd love to see each of them do their own full shows. We also got to meet The Cowsills afterwards and they were just incredibly gracious and wonderful. Signed a photo for me and took a picture too! The Box Tops were the big surprise of the night, very fine musicianship. They were the only band that didn't have to depend on the backline of highly-talented musicians. Ron Dante (The Archies/The Cuff Links), The Association, and of course...The Turtles were all just fine in their own right. The voices are crackling a little more than usual but they held fine, and typical, sets together and were huge crowd pleasers to a very dead crowd, as usual in Lancaster. "Sugar, Sugar", "Cherish", and of course "Happy Together" were the only standing ovations on individual songs the whole night. Anyway, catch it if you can! I highly recommend it!

About 3 weeks saw Phil Collins at the Liverpool Echo Arena, had to do the show sitting down which he explained at the start. None the less it was a great show and his son is drumming for him, he sure has learned his craft from Phil. A good mix of songs playing the old favourites plus some rarities, yes age has caught up with him but felt he still delivered the songs well, The Liverpool crowd were in fine voice and was a really enjoyable evening

                                          WixRocks!:

The Turtles, The Association, The Cowsills and many others will be on the Flower Power cruise next February that I'm going on. http://flowerpowercruise.com/

The Turtles are hysterical...anyone with a funny bone and a love for a good bubblegum pop tune has to love them! The Cowsills are not only entertaining, but all so incredibly talented. Like I said, I'd love to see them do a full show...twenty minutes just wasn't enough! As for The Association, they sounded very good even though the voices are slipping slightly but I think they would be a bit dull to watch for more than twenty minutes...not a lot of action like The Turtles or diversity in style/talent like The Cowsills.

I just clicked on the link, missed it before! The REAL talent on that cruise is Felix Cavaliere. I had the pleasure of seeing him two summers ago with Mark Farner and met them both afterwards. Felix's voice and playing are absolutely jaw-dropping. He's the real deal and he's got the catalog to back it up. Peter Noone is a hoot too! I saw him with Micky Dolenz, who I see is also on the cruise! I see they've also stuck some of the less than original bands on there. The Grass Roots, The Buckinghams, The Guess Who, and The Hollies are really just cover bands...one original member each and not even exactly a "key" original member like say, in The Beach Boys with Mike Love fronting. Still, they sound great! Just not deserving of the placard of authenticity!
