This looks like a private gig and nothing has been announced. Probably for SNL alum and their friends. As in - Invited Guests Only.

Not much I can say about this rumor right now, What I will say is that there are a lot of very shady looking things around this. I have an email with an announcement and a number and email contact for tickets but while doing some sleuthing found some suspicious things involved. When presenting it to someone who would know, no definitive answer was given other than questions . But what I do know, was supposedly general admission for $950.

Any info on whether or not tix will be released to the public?

The email I have is for requests for tickets via email or phone. Although I can't definitively say it's not true yet, I'm leaning towards fake

Bob, fyi, the story did not come off of a banner. So that may be someone out to pull a scam. I'd be curious as to when you got it.

A friend received it Wednesday and then they forwarded it to me knowing I live in the area. Can't really say one way or the other whether it's true or false at this point. But for that kind of money and things not appearing to be adding up I would not have taken a chance on it. Weird reaction from the person I sent it to so even that can go either way

actually Tuesday night that banner was received by a friend and I got it late Tuesday/early Wednesday. It appears to be a totally separate matter and not connected to the show! So the banner was fake but the show looks real.....just a matter of whether it's private or not at this point. It's a small place so it wouldn't be very hard to drop it at the last moment and still fill the place. Although the possible snow storm could throw a monkey wrench into things.

Thanks, Bob, for the info. I know it's a busy week in NYC, with Fashion Week and also the NBA All-Star game this weekend, that means lots of extra celebs and media in town, so they could easily fill up a private concert, too, I would guess, even at $950 a ticket. ;). I know that Irving Plaza has a private concert tonight with Drake and Nas, some Sprite-sponsored event, and nothing official on their schedule for Sat. So I guess we wait and see!

NYC is hopping!

So, what's the skinny on this? Is it legit or not?

I think it's legit. Mitch Axelrod, who hosts the Fab 4 Free 4 All podcast, just mentioned that he was called by Paul's people and invited to attend tomorrow night's concert. My guess is that this show is going to be a private/invite only event.

How about inviting your LOYAL BOARDIE fans, Paul? Private and invite-only? Boo!

We're talking about a guy who had a conniption because an assistant once served him tea without a doily. (allegedly)
