Steve Marinucci on beatles examiner is reporting that the fan tix will be seated on the lower level and VIPs up in the balconies. http://www.examiner.com/article/paul-mccartney-fans-erupt-glee-over-last-minute-valentine-s-irving-plaza-show?CID Heard from STEVE who said he didn't realize the Irving Plaza lower level is usually standing room so I would assume that it is going to be standing room.

Good day to be in NYC. Congrats to all who got a ticket! And only $40.00! Amazing. Should be a wonderful show. Think he'll play My Valentine?
-
So happy for those that get to attend. Sounds fabulous. Stay warm and safe while traveling with snow. Please tell us every little detail when you can.

Was first on line, and will be there tonight!!!!
That's awesome, Bob! I haven't been to Irving Plaza in years, but I love the venue and I'm sure the sound will be great. I've never seen seats in there, but the balcony area is nice, but the floor is more intimate.

The one weekend I leave the city! 11pm is past my bedtime anyway... Hope everyone who got tix enjoys!

Do u know if it is standing or seated? My buddy who lives 5 blocks from theatre got me a wristband. They didn't put it on his wrist. I can't get a hold of him right now to know what the paper says. I had a bad cell connection when he called. Any info appreciated.
Here's a pic I found on Twitter of the wristband, and the slip of paper with instructions: http://s23.postimg.org/aahtocywr/B90_Yqk_WIIAAKs_OU.jpg The instructions say: "Please return to the venue at 9:30 pm and line up behind your designated wristband number as directed by security. You must wear your wristband to gain entry."
Spies like us indeed! Whoever is going enjoy the show.

They must not have wanted to leave any fingerprints on the murder weapon.

Bob, congrats! I know you were 1st in line, but what # did you pull to get in?

Congrats to all who are going! Paul is always good to NYC. I should move. I am kind of surprised that they did not put the wristbands on the ticket buyers, tho, as in gnome's friend and the picture on Twitter. That could mean that somebody could turn around and scalp that ticket and wristband for $$. I can see why they did the random lottery draw, tho; keeps people from camping on the sidewalk all day to secure the front rows. which is nice esp in bad weather, not having to spend all day in a queue. everyone have a great time and report back!

Irving Plaza is a GA venue, so there's no front row per se. The wristbands are numbered, so folks with a lower number (presumably) will be closer to the front.
-
if you go to the Irving Plaza website they have a nice photo gallery with pictures from fans. It will be very tightly packed in there tonight. Going to get to know your neighbor well. I expect that those with lower wristband numbers will get to enter the venue first and therefore get closest to the stage. RamblinRed

I know its GA so yes, that is what I meant to say..."Front row" meaning the people that are closest to the stage/at the barrier. and yes, if they are lining them up in wristband order, that's how they will be let in. They didnt do numbers in Vegas at the Joint...just let us line up early inside the casino. I think numbers are a way to keep people from freezing outside on the sidewalk all day, so as long as they enforce the numbers in the line, it will be an orderly entry. Am a veteran of many Springsteen GA pit lottery lines so I know how it goes.

I understand the whole venue can accommodate 1,025 people, but how many standing on the ground level? Maybe half of that amount?
-
Just missed getting tickets. $40... a steal. Gutted. Anyone think he'll play another NYC show before he retires?
-
I'm sure he will KingMacca. He loves NYC. -Rubber Soul13

Sorry to hear that, but I'm sure he will be back in the summer. Why don't you show up later tonight anyway? Maybe you'll get lucky and they will let you in.

I'm only 15 and my folks are old haha. Scalpers selling for $695. Show starts at 11pm anyways, long commute home after.
-
$695? I hope they get arrested for doing that to the fans.

Oh yes, it's puzzling that it's illegal for them to sell outside the venue but not to scalp online on Stubhub, etc.
