Billy Joel Concerts
-
Hey-- I am seriously considering seeing Billy Joel later this year when he tours. Has anyone seen him and if you have, can you describe your experience? Thanks.
-
I haven't seen him, but check out his album 12 Garden Nights. He's fantastic live! He's like Paul or Elton, a seriously deep catalog. You should definitely go.
-
I've seen him once back in 2006, brilliant show, played all his well known songs. I would certainly recommend seeing him live!
-
I have been wanting to see him in concert since '99. Billy is the man! And I love what he says at the end of every concert...
-
I have seen Billy Joel several times. The man is a performer and puts on a great show. You will not be disappointed.
-
I saw him with Elton John in 2009 and he blew Elton off the stage! Then, I was surprised at Yankee Stadium when he came on with our guy! According to a recent interview I read, he is considering doing a small number of shows in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC and playing albums in their entirety in smaller venues across numerous nights!
-
So many great options for him to consider!
-
I know! He is definitely an album man. I mean, he has hits that you can pluck, but the albums as a whole are so much better. I'd love to hear Turnstiles, The Stranger, 52nd Street, Glass Houses, The Nylon Curtain live from beginning to end. That stretch in his career is te peak for sure.
-
Looks like he's kicking off his 2013 tour in Dublin November 1st.
-
I saw that, but I certainly wouldn't call it a tour at all. He's doing one concert in Dublin. That'll probably be it for 2013...maybe two more shows.
-
Well here I am already eating my words, as he's announced three more shows! Oct. 29th- Manchester Arena, England Nov. 1st- The O2, Dublin, Ireland Nov. 5th- Hammersmith Apollo, London, England Nov. 8th- Birmingham LG Arena, England At this rate, I would guess maybe a full European tour through December? I guess he's being adventurous! Really wish he'd get back in the US though...maybe US gigs at MSG for New Years Eve or something? Wishful thinking...
-
I would have seen him but am already out on the day he's in Manchester so for me not this time round.
-
This video is a bit disheartening considering all the great responses Billy has been giving in interviews about playing deep tracks and full albums...what does this video have printed in bold at the end? BILLY JOEL- IN CONCERT- THE HITS ....yaaaay....
-
I've never seen him live but would definitely like to! Will try and see if I can get a ticket when they go on sale tomorrow.
-
Glad I just saw this thread - I'm definitely 'in' as far as attending any said Billy Joel shows this year...Right now, Paul at Fenway is the only show I'm heading to
