Paul McCartney 2016 Rumors
-
I looked at the schedule and noticed that the Yankees will be away from July 1 to July 14, so I could see Paul potentially playing at Yankee Stadium during that two-week slot.
-
He plays in Europe June 30. He seems to usually take two or three weeks off between tour legs. I wonder if he will leave Europe and come back to the US that close?

Woah, the Madrid poster is so tasteful, yet this design is gruesome.
He (or they) seem to like pics of him with his mouth open. I'd rather they used the Madrid pics. Those were cool.
The open mouth image of Paul is an image they used for the tail end of the Out There tour.
Looks like a gruesome old man update of the image used for the Rockshow movie posters.
I KNOW it sounds like sour grapes, but it really is not that great an image of him. He looks like he is singing karaoke. Why not a cool photo of him playing his iconic bass?

You never know with Paul, I could see him doing it. Last year he went back and forth between Europe and the US in a short time frame. I think he played shows in France, came over here to do Firefly and some other shows, and then went back to Scandinavia I believe.

Anything is possible.

I'm going to Düsseldorf probably, I usually buy general admission but it looks like I have to buy a seat this time, are front row seats only available via vip-package or will you be able to just buy the seat? And are there any good seats available during the pre-sale?
First 10 rows or so towards the middle are available through VIP packages (Front Row, Soundcheck and Gold). There's also resale or scalpers. I bought 8th row for Toronto last year. EDIT: front row package is on the sides not center. There's sometimes good seats in the pre-sale, but not a sure thing. It pretty much depends on demand - I couldn't get a floor seat at all for Liverpool so I ended up doing soundcheck. Don't know how Germany works but UK VIP doesn't let you know where your seat is until you get your ticket - so I ended up 7th row off to the side. The other time I did soundcheck I was 4th row center (but I could see the exact seat before buying). Europe VIP packages are a bargain compared to US. Here soundcheck is US$1500. I saw Germany is just under US$700.

Correct me if I am wrong, but in past tours there was not an AMEX pre-sale on the same day as PM pre- sales. True?

Might want to check the Mets schedule as well

There have been am-ex pre sales before

Mets are at home at Citi Field July 1-July 10. The stadium is available from July 11 to the 24th. Perhaps a show there during that time?

I know there have been AMEX pre-sales before - I'm saying I don't remember them being on the SAME day as the PM pre-sale.

Please don't tell me that Paul played in San Antonio on Out There. That was a 1000 seat venue that nobody had access to.
Not true, tickets were available to *anyone* that wanted to purchase them. Yes, they were expensive, but they were available. But agreed, he hasn't done a large-venue show there in many years.

Good news about the tour, been busy today so missed the announcements hope for the UK soon
-
Really excited for this new tour! Hoping for a nice summer show! -Rubber Soul13
-
I wonder if he'll play Wrigley again. It was OMG hot & humid there last time. Even had the VIP dinner outside in the heat.
-
I am about 99% sure Paul is at Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 8. Thus, I doubt we'll see a Chicago show this year.
-
I'm gonna bet Citi Field July 15-17

Please no stadium shows! The sightlines are horrible. I'm really hoping for MSG.

Completely agree... And the sound in MSG is pristine.
