Paul McCartney 2016 Rumors
-
They could but it's all a guess
-
I have the feeling it will be a great tour, maybe two years, with many shows, and Paul will satisfy many fans worldwide.

Hi guys! I've just joined cos I figured this was the best place to keep abreast of Paul's tour plans. I've never seen him live before and I'm really hoping to pop my cherry this year. I'm in the UK ,so desperately hoping for some dates here. I'm getting a bit of a sweat on now cos he hasn't announced any, but it seems that its fairly standard for him to announce shows in dribs and drabs? You all seem to have a lot of experience with this; do you think UK shows are a dead cert?? Thanks! and hello again : )

Paul's team always seem to announce a couple of shows at a time which is good for them but incredibly frustrating for those looking to buy tickets. There's no definite news about any UK shows and not a lot of rumours either so at this stage it's anyone's guess as to whether he'll play any UK shows over and above the Dine and Disco for Children in Need in June. My guess is that he'll announce some pre-Christmas UK gig like he did in December 2011, but I'm happy to be proved wrong!

What happened to the Milwaukee announcement, I'm guessing that show went the way of the dodo bird?

Ahh, for some reason I thought it was going to be right after the Minneapolis show (s).

If the rumor is correct, it is a music festival in early July

But it's not like Lolla or Bonaroo where they do one large announcement. The headliners announce as they announce their tours. Sting and Peter Gabriel are playing it and they announced that show as part of their whole tour schedule and you can buy the tix now. So Paul can announce his show whenever he wants.
-
Paul just doesn't announce all at once, hasn't for a long time. Yes, he can announce anytime but his usual M/O is to announce in drips and drabs
-
He did for the European legs in 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2015.
-
And when you consider that there are still a number of shows he will play before that (that haven't been announced yet), there simply is no hurry for an announcement for a show almost 4 months away
-
He hasn't in the US since 2005 and last time I looked, Milwaukie is in the US

Are you serious saying that everything is possible? Everything? Or almost everything?

Bob...you should come out for Summerfest. Its actually quite a good time About 10 side stages (with one well-known headliner at 9:30 or 10:00 each night) and then the major headliner each night at the Marcus Amphitheater. They usually do a big reveal of about 100 side stage acts in late March so that should be coming shortly. Its possible the McCartney reveal will come at that time but I believe the release date is being driven by McCartney's people, not Summerfest.

I don't know about everything is possible. At least within the next 5 months chances running out quickly. Especially for Europe/UK...I would expect only 1-3 more added if any. After August, possibilities seriously open up again

What everyone else has said regarding possibility of UK shows and random announcements. My recommendations: - check back every weekday... announcements can come anytime between 8am - 5pm local time. Presales are usually between 8am-10am local time. - sign up for the pre-sales. You only have to do it once, and there's no pesky password to remember. - the show will likely be announced about 30-90 days in advances thought the average is more like 40ish days. So know what your schedule is like for the near future. - Most importantly, be ready to buy the next day! So far this year all the presales have been the morning after the announcement. General sale is anywhere from 3-10 days after announcement, but you want to give yourself every chance to score a face-value ticket. - Finally, if you have the time/money/visa to go somewhere else to see him, do it! Especially since you've never seen him before and you never know what could happen down the road (knock on wood). If he then comes to your city/country then you just go see him again Good luck!!

Thanks! But not big on festivals and July and August I have interest in quite a few shows. Tough decisions will have to be made. Already looking at hotels and travel costs to each
