Paul McCartney 2016 Rumors

Virginia Beach would be cool. He's never played there and it's as big a city as Miami. But with a quite different flavor and vibe.

Say what?!

Miami has a population of about 420,000. Virginia Beach has about 440,000. However, Miami's metro area is about 5 million and Virginia Beach has about 1.7 million. Paul has played smaller places than Virginia Beach, such as Missoula, Fargo, and Lubbock.

1976, a full blown tour 1980, not on tour at all / tour aborted 1984, not on tour at all 1988, a year before his tour comeback 1992, not on tour at all / just played the US extensively 1996, not on tour at all 2000, not on tour at all 2004, just played the US extensively / would do so year after 2008, not on tour at all 2012, very few dates that year, and even then he still played US, even a few days after the elections It can only be said for 2004, and I would say that's merely coincidental.
In 2004 Paul played only in Europe (apart from a benefit gig in the US) and played only in the US in 2005.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying, we are taking about whether there is any correspondence in him avoiding the US during election years. edit: I might have been confusing with saying "just played". I meant he just did it (2002), not "only", haha. My bad.
I know, but you wrote Paul played the US extensively in 2004.
Yes, and I meant "just played" as in "just did it (before)". Bottom line is that only that EU-only year could be a corresponding thing with the elections, as noted in my previous post, but there's no pattern.

Did a bit more number crunching and late-April shows in South America might still be a possibility (given the early 2014 shows). Shows were April 19 - May 1st and announced between March 9 and March 20. from 30 to 40 days prior to the shows. There was even more advance notice for the fall Brazil shows - from 23 to 52 days prior. The big but is that there were very strong rumours and leaks in the month leading up to the announcements. This year there's only the one article hinting at Salvador de Bahia (which came out way back in August).

This is my bid of cities for shows in Europe: Munich ( not played since 2003) Frankfurtt ( not played since 1993) Dortmund ( not played since 1993) Copenhaguen ( not played since 2003) Zagreb ( not played since 1976) Torino (Italy) ( never played) or Nice ( not played since 1965) Lyon ( not played since 1989) Rome ( not played since 2003) Barcelona ( not played since 2003) ..... I think that some of these cities is likely to Paul to play a show. of course, this is only a personal speculation.

Prague, it was 12 years ago? Couldn't it be? BTW. Yesterday I had met Brian May (from Queen, not Brian Ray
). And had a short chat with him! It was beside Macca concert one of my priorities things on my bucket list. It gives me hope and good prognosis for possible my first McCartney concert in future

You will see McCartney in concert. The question is, where? And when?

Spring time will be fun time for some! I think announcements should start within a couple of weeks
-
I agree with you, I think that Zagreb is an important candidate for some reasons. It would be great to see Paul in this beautiful city. ... And Barcelona almost a miracle, but still very strong in all bets.

Yeah it should be soon, as the Up & Coming Tour was announced round about this time 5 years ago & I believe it was about a year ago today (give or take) that the Out There European leg was announced so fingers crossed
