Do you think Paul will do the Lovebox Festival one day? That's in London's Victoria Park. & should we be watching the UK Springsteen concerts this summer?
If you've never seen Springsteen it's definitely worth it! Just be prepared for a 3.5 hour or longer show (you'll need great endurance if you get general admission non seated pitch tickets!) for The River Tour. I'll be seeing him in Milwaukee this Thursday and got tickets for Munich and Berlin this summer. If Paul doesn't announce some non festival shows I may bite the bullet and go to Werchter...
I've seen Bruce. Great show, Clarence and Danny were still alive. It was The Rising Tour, very emotional. Bruce talks about being "in concert" with his audience. One of the best concerts I ever saw.

River Tour shows are currently running 3-1/2 hours or a little less..
Macca Meri, if you are wondering if Paul will turn up at Springsteen's UK shows, it always possible, of course, but I would not go to a show assuming or expecting it. They have often been on tour in the same cities a day apart and don't appear together.
Also going to Bruce's show at Wembley Stadium in June. Gonna be great saw him there in 2013 where he played his Darkness on the edge of town album in full. As for Paul Uk dates not so sure given he only played in May 2015.

This is a great Bruce Springsteen concert forum!!

It's not that unheard of for Paul to play uk years in a row is it? Am I right in saying there were no 2014 uk dates? Could be wrong it's been a while since I looked at last tour schedules

that's right 2014 wasn't any UK/EU concert. The last time he played here in a row was during "on the run" tour 2011/2010. Only UK in a row was 2009 (Good Evening Tour) 2010 (Up and Coming + the special dec. gigs). Because it seems that there is a new tour (+ "setlist" changes) this year, there is quite a reason for concerts in UK/EU.

I wonder if he'll continue the three hour shows? After all he'll be 74 in June.

I guess we'll all find out soon enough, its exciting really but I also wish the announcements would hurry up
How many shows does he announce at one time? Just a few or the whole thing? Or does it change

Usually one or two at time. Very frustrating and difficult to plan. For example, if he announces a show 300 miles away and you buy a ticket, then he announces a show 100 miles away. Not cool.

Exactly! I almost bought a ticket for Nashville in 2014 and thank God I didn't because in a few days or so he announced Atlanta!

Not me. I plan my life. Going to Italy in July!
But if a show comes up for you that you can get to, go for it. Amazing concert!

Tomorrow is March. I highly doubt that. Probably would have heard something about that by now, even a rumor. I think it is pretty quiet around here for a tour that's supposed to begin in April in South America. Usually something concrete has leaked for South America by this time.
-
It's not too late for South America in April. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he kicked off the end of April there and announced the shows 4-5 weeks in advance.

So two more weeks to wait for announcements? Yawn....
-
not much has been even rumoured, never mind concrete. it really is a waiting game. any rumours seem to have trailed off now

So the obsessive in me started a spreadsheet to try and find some sort of pattern in all this. With only the first part of last year's data (and excluding festivals and special shows)... Japan and S. Korea shows: Announced about 80-86 days before the show (except for Budokan). Keep in mind these were rescheduled shows from the 2014 cancellations. Pre-sale dates were 28 days later for the Tokyo Dome shows, 7 and 2 days for Budokan and Seoul respectively. The Europe shows: announced from 78 to 125 days prior. Exceptions were "second show added" (London and Amsterdam) which were announced, as they went on sale, which was also the day of the 1st date's general sale. The key statistic is on-sale dates. Pre-sales were between 1-4 days after the announcement. UK shows in particular went on pre-sale the next day
Somehow I totally forgot that part from last year. So, just off this limited dataset, shows in May to early July should be announced in the next 10-15 days.....if there's any logic to this. But for sure be ready to purchase tickets the same week of the announcement if not the very next day. PS: If anyone's interested in seeing the still unfinished spreadsheet here's a link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Gk7P5s96_LZlk4Wauc7JDfCkiefkC-S9denQgtZsgBY/edit?usp=sharing

Another thing: Paul rarely does concerts in the US during presidential election years. In 2012 he only appeared in St Louis and Houston, and those were last minute and came after Election Day (early November). So unless this year marks a big change in the pattern....

That's interesting - do you know why that is, by any chance?
