"Appreciate" is jaw droppingly good. THAT is your hit off of "New". That has to be a single. It would get you airplay on radio.

"However, it is Giles Martin, son of legendary Beatles producer George Martin, who delivers the biggest prizes here. On "Appreciate," he surrounds McCartney's moving, upper-register vocals with fuzzy guitars and a trip-hop beat to create one of Macca's best songs in decades. For sure!! It's very modern sounding without overtly trying to be. It's sort of like Paul is reclaiming Beatles' sounds/sophistication via Prince. If that makes sense.

I totally agree. It's my favorite track on the album and I've been plugging it on my FB and twitter. I could see this playing on KCRW or... dare I say it... maybe even KROQ. parlance

I don't by any means dislike the song, but it's probably my least favourite song on the album.

Meh, more of a groove than a song. I like Alligator a lot more.

It's amazing! I think Road is the hit on the album though.

ROAD? I don't think so. I will listen again to see if I am missing something. NEW was the first song put OUT THERE because it is clearly the most commercial song on the CD, maybe the ONLY commercial song on there. SAVE US has potential but I am not sure the hook is strong enough.

There are no bad tracks on this album but Appreciate is probably my favourite. There's something hypnotic about it after a few listens. Some simple but strong lyrics too, and I love that sung "aah" chord at 3:07 that sounds like it was lifted straight out of "Because" on Abbey Road.

Oh, I'm quite happy with 'Queenie Eye' being the single....for numerous reasons!! First, (as a big fan of The Beatles and Paul McCartney) I just think it's very very catchy...once the chorus kicks in...and is very well written and produced! Second, As a gay guy, I can assure everyone it will be a big sing along at the gay bars. I mean, "Queenie Eye, queenie Eye, who's got the ball...not in my pocket...fan the flame...careful what you touch in case you burn**[...O.U.T. spells out, that's out, without a shadow of a doubt**....never blame circumstances if romances seldom came..." I mean. how can that NOT be a big sing along. Take my word for it!! Numerous songs...over the years...have become big mainstream hits because they were FIRST popular in gay bars and gay guys loved them. This will be a sing along just as Adele's funky "...rolling in the deep" was and still is in the bars. We love to sing those funky lyrics and we will love singing those of ....'Queenie Eye'!!!! Now, back to being just a regular fan....it's just a great song!! Thank you Pauls (McCartney & Epworth)....both of you!!!!!

Great groove on Appreciate! Love it....one of the best on the album. Love the echos the sonics...who is drumming on this? The guitar work towards the end is ferocious! The middle bars are a throwback to "bogey music". Anybody catching that?
