You Gave Me The Answer, Questions for Paul feature.

I'm not sure why PM.com posted this elsewhere on the forum and not here, but here is what they wrote: "Hi all, we?ve read your comments on ?You Gave Me The Answer? so we thought we?d let you know it?ll run like this: PaulMcCartney.com will be selecting a handful of questions from those submitted, they will be passed to Paul and he will then answer his favourite one. Check back to the website towards the middle / end of February for the first question and answer!"
Jen, When they say 'You Gave Me The Answer' they don't mean our little thread here. That is the title they gave to the place (link) where you can ask Paul questions on his website.

I think I should ask him what will he do when the bubble burst :
Good one!

Well I just asked a bunch of questions. My favorites: 1. What are the last three books you've read and what did you like about each of them? 2. If you could redo one of your solo albums, which one would you redo, and why? I also asked him a question about his art collection. I can't remember how I worded it but I asked which piece of art he'd purchased that he liked the most, and why? What I really wanted to ask: When are you going to get a decent hair cut and let someone dye your hair who knows what they're doing? But I didn't want to be rude. This whole question thing is kinda silly (I mean, the odds of getting it answered are slim to none) but it was fun to think up questions.

I asked why he refuses to play Silly Love Songs!

Thank you Nancy R, I use to get tired of that question for them way back when but it would still almost be funny to ask it one more time but I won't

Just in case the Mods are still around..Is Paul going to actually answer our questions on a month to month time table..or answer , say six at once? Then if you don't get your question in early..you have to wait half a yr. to MAYBE get the answer to your question.

I found an old Beatle Fan mag from the 80's yesterday among my things with a piece by Derek Taylor about the famed late 60's Apple business with all the Beatles actively involved at the posh London Apple digs, and how remarkable it was that the Beatles "were suddenly accessible to most anyone who dropped by the offices," wrote Taylor. Whereas for so long prior they were "completely out of reach." Made me think how today the Net can suddenly make the biggest stars in the world aware of you even though you're just an "ordinary" non-famous American or whatever. They might chance upon your writings. You should always be hyper aware of what you write on the Net. You could get booted off a site, "banished" forever as has happened here, for instance. (Especially here, LOL)
No one here has gotten banished for what they wrote elsewhere.

... Are you serious after all the years Paul will have a Q&A with the best question (s) answered by paul once a month !! ps we hav a whole thread dedicated to questions - silly ridiculous and all what's considerd the best question ? hahaha link for questions for Paul http://www.paulmccartney.com/fans/you-gave-me-the-answer/the-questions
I thought I would have fun with it because I know it would not be selected. 1) Have you ever ever thought of doing a drum solo in concert - lol ? 2) How come you never say "this song is for McCartney solo fans " in concert? 3) How come you never introduce the band members by name at concerts?

[3) How come you never introduce the band members by name at concerts?
I think I could answer this one.. The Beatles never did(as far as I know) why should he start now?
-
I believe if we all(everyone on the board) sent in one question..it would get everyones attention(Mods as well as Paul) The point here is to get an answer..even if it is a collective question. What one question would most here really want to know? I for one would like to know "What amount of the decision making do you have in the places you will tour and ticket pricing?"

LOL. You are right, probably that would be the answer, In a way, think McCartney is being kind of rude. When he talks about his setlist decision making, always mentions thinking about the people who see him for the first time. What makes him think these people know the names of the band?

That's my favorite one, too. I've been wondering -- ever since Yoko came out with that stripped down version of Double Fantasy -- which of Paul's records he would like to "redo." But I also think it'd be interesting to hear about what sorts of books he reads (for pleasure).

wow. a drum solo. Never thought of it before. and for number 2, in the Space Between Us he did sing Too Many People and introduce it as "One for the Wings fans" but that was a long time ago too

He used to introduce them when they first started touring together, but now I guess he figures if you don't know their names by now, you never will!
