NEW PAUL & NIRVANA SONG
-
It's called "Cut Me Some Slack". With Paul on lead vocals. The rumors about Paul & Dave Grohl were buzzing around a few months ago. Now the work is revealed. It's ahard rocker that resembles a Fireman sound. The question is, will it be on paul's next album? Will the recording be released as a single? or could there even be a whole Paul & Nirvana album? Okay so 3 questions. The 12/12/12 concert was a huge success for Sandy victims AND Paul.

I like the sound. It'll be interesting to hear a studio mix of it (as opposed to the sound of a live performance). I've been crossing my fingers that Paul would get back to some original rock in 2013. I liked "Chaos and Creation" and "Kisses On The Bottom". Not my exact cup of tea, but admirable. I really liked "Memory Almost Full" and "Electric Arguments", but I am really craving a new rock album from Sir Paul, or at least an album with a good selection of rock.
-
I find it a boring song Loud without subtley or substance - the opposite of Nirvana or Them Crooked Vultures. Let's hope the studio version (if there is one) has more to it.

Great collaboration. Here's what Spin Magazine wrote about it (and called Paul's set and the new "Sirvana" song the No. 1 and No. 2 most memorable things about the 12/12/12 show:
1. Paul McCartney plays "Helter Skelter," a couple of Wings songs and "Blackbird" before pausing to explain what we all know is coming: "So I showed up like you do, ready to jam, and in the middle of it, these guys kept saying, 'Well, we haven't played together for years.' So you know, the penny finally dropped and I finally understood that I was in the middle of a Nirvana reunion." 2. So he brought in not just Dave Grohl, not only Krist Novoselic, but Pat Smear too, and Sirvana ripped through their one and only (as far as we know) original song which is called "Cut Me Some Slack" (by the way) even though Macca kept howling (awesomely) while holding his own in shredding duels with Novoselic amidst the fantastic pummel laid down by Grohl and Smear on drums and bass, of course. As predicted, the song was indeed heavy. It fr-eaking slayed, in fact, and once it was played, nothing else mattered.

I will not be surprised if Paul has a number one with this. I mean number one in paid downloads. Sure there's thousands buying this one now.
-
Hey Audi, where are you? we could cover Cut Me Some Slack
-
Paul rocked it! What was he playing? A matchbox resinator? Cool.
-
"Cut Me Some Slack" will be included on the soundtrack of Grohl's new movie, "Sound City Movie."
-
I admit I'm not a big fans of Nirvana, but this song seems a perfect mix between Nirvana and Paul rocker's style. This performance shows how good is Paul in any thing that he wants to do! Also I loved his relaxed attitude, his voice sounded very good.
-
I'll have to listen to it a few more times, but it did sound like a Firemen track, Electric Agruments. But like most of Grohl's music, for me, it just sounds loud with no melody. Anyway, it was nice to see and hear.

Not something I'd listen to daily but here it is:

courtney is bitching about something she hasn't even heard yet. and I don't get her "If John was alive, it'd be cool" comment. Why?

She thinks it would have been cooler if John had been part of the reunion instead of Paul.
-
I heard echoes of Beware My Love and the Fireman in the song All in all, bloody good
-
are these the lyrics: "mother set me free mother let me be mother watch me blow mother i want to have a son"
-
I love blues/rock jams, and this one delivers. I'd tweak the lyric here n' there, but it's thematically dark -- which gives it that Fireman dynamic -- but, overall, it's just a great rocker with a great groove...and I think that's all they set out to do: Just jam a bit... ...really, really hard.
-
its not a nirvana song no cobain on vocals?? or a hollegram lol
-
I thought it was dreadful...like a rubbish Helter Skelter wannabe.
-
this performance, my friends, was the best thing i`ve seen paul do in decades! Incredible... i hope for a nirvana album w/ paul.
