SECOND SINGLE FROM "NEW" - "QUEENIE EYE"

Queenie Eye, Queenie Eye, who's got the ball? I haven't got it, it isn't in my pocket... Fcking gold.

Queenie Eye, Queenie Eye, who's got the ball? I haven't got it, it isn't in my pocket... ****ing gold.
O-U-T spells out.......

In the write up Paul says he is learning the whole CD with his band. Sounds like he wants to play the whole thing live!!! That would be great. He and the band could come out, play the whole NEW CD, then play and hour and half of classic hits from McCartney's vast catalogue. That would be something!

I'm having a problem with the first line in particular, but these are the lyrics from what i can tell. Please feel free to let me know what I may have missed. I'm sure Ringo loves the O-U-T spells "out" Though the Russian never told me Never came up with a plan All the stories that you sold me Didn?t help me understand But I had to get it worked out Had nobody who could help So that in the end it turned out That I had to do it right myself Life?s a game likes and riches Dogs and bitches hunting fame It?s difficult to know which way to turn Lay the blame on the snitches, wicked witches fan the flame be careful what you turn to in case you burn queenie eye queenie eye who?s got the ball? I haven?t got it It isn?t in my pocket o-u-t spells out that?s out, without a shadow of a doubt you should be running it about hear the people shout hear the people shout play the game take your chances every dance is much the same it doesn?t matter which you?d rather choose we never blame circumstances if romance is seldom gain never pick a fight you?re gonna lose queenie eye queenie eye who?s got the ball? I haven?t got it It isn?t in my pocket o-u-t spells out that?s out, without a shadow of a doubt cause you?d be running it about hear the people shout hear the people shout it?s a long way to the finish when you?ve never been before I was nervous But I did it Now I?m going back for more Let?s all get up Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey Hear the people shout Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey queenie eye queenie eye who?s got the ball? I haven?t got it It isn?t in my pocket o-u-t spells out that?s out, without a shadow of a doubt you should be running it about hear the people shout hear the people shout queenie eye queenie eye who?s got the ball? I love it. Thank you very much for posting the link, Bruce. Why can't we get it on iTunes yet? If it's a single, one would think that it would be available now. This link doesn't work on my iPhone Fortunately, I'm able to listen to it on my PC at work.

Better than New, which isn't bad. This song is one of those that grabs you by the ears and makes me want to hear it again and again.. That line about people shouting, could very well work live with putting a pause in for the audience to then shout, if they will get off their tails and do it for something new. I can't imagine singing those lyrics live though, as they are rapid fire, same fast paced delivery as Run Devil Run.

Ok...so I went to that page to play the song but all I see is news about it, but no link to the song... What am I doing wrong? ops:

Oh my god. I f***ing LOVE this song. It floored me the first time I heard it this morning. Such an original, fresh sounding beast of a song. I had mixed feelings about "New", but "Queenie Eye" achieves everything I was hoping for. What a wicked SOUND: the rollicking piano, great sliding guitars, kick-ass drumming and fills. Love the groove! The melody is fantastic. Catchy, some strange twists and surprises, some dark chords thrown in. Paul's voice sounds excellent, too. The joyous whoop he gives towards the end of the song gives me goosebumps. I've been following the early reviews and, of course, noticing how everyone gives it Beatle-y comparisons. I can hear that, but I don't find it the slightest bit derivative (in a negative sense) at all. Other songs like "When We Was Fab", "C'mon People" felt derivative in a borderline-ish way, but "Queenie Eye" embodies the spirit of Paul's old band in a remarkably fresh and original way. I also love the genre of the 'trippy rock song'. I think this song nails it in an awesome way that past songs like "Off The Ground" or "Nod Your Head" didn't quite get. Sorry for all the hyperbole, but I think this is the best f***ing song Paul has done in donkey years. THANK YOU, Paul! (Oh, man, I should also thank Paul Epworth for the stellar production. What a unique and exciting sound they've created.)

Should be right under the paragraph that begins 'AVAILABLE FOR AIRPLAY' and ends with 'Karen Durkot'. A little 'play' button next to a 'speaker' button? If not, maybe try another web browser?

Plus Dogs and Bitches, great name for an album..

I really like it! It's different, unusual. To me it sounds like a Fireman project.

Bill, I think it's: "There are rules you never told me" and "Life's a game, rags to riches" Let me know what you think.

Does the bass sound like the Rick to anyone else? I read that he used it on one song!

My take on the lyrics... There were rules you never told me Never came up with a plan All the stories that you sold me Didn?t help me understand But I had to get it worked out Had nobody who could help So that in the end it turned out That I had to do it right myself Life?s a game rags to riches Dogs and bitches hunting fame It?s difficult to know which way to turn Lay the blame on the snitches, wicked witches fan the flame be careful what you turn to in case you burn queenie eye queenie eye who?s got the ball? I haven?t got it It isn?t in my pocket o-u-t spells out that?s out, without a shadow of a doubt coz you've been running it about hear the people shout hear the people shout play the game take your chances every dance is much the same it doesn?t matter which you?d rather choose we never blame circumstances if romance is seldom gain never pick a fight you?re gonna lose queenie eye queenie eye who?s got the ball? I haven?t got it It isn?t in my pocket o-u-t spells out that?s out, without a shadow of a doubt cause you?d be putting it about hear the people shout hear the people shout it?s a long way to the finish when you?ve never been before I was nervous But I did it Now I?m going back for more Let?s all get up Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey Hear the people shout Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey queenie eye queenie eye who?s got the ball? Sounds great No one else has mentioned this yet but on the player it says this is a radio edit so the album version will be longer.
