Paul's upcoming album review they say its HOT!

Hosannah and Life of a party girl are two real titles for these sessions. I don't believe that Party Girl will make the album. The rest of the list is fake as heck! And the info I have on the 5 songs played at the listening session, things look very, very promising

I'm excited whether it's Beatles '67, McCartney '13, whatever!

Just read in my Beatlefan/EXTRA that came in the mail yesterday that the Aug 29th issue of Rolling Stone will preview Paul's new album. Paul is interviewed and tells RS ...."I'm always loath to say, "It's a f***ing great album, man." "I try to be modest. But I think you're going to like this one." I would guess he will be discussing the various tracks, different styles of music in the album and how/why he thinks they all fit together. "The continuing thing throughout that pulls it all together, I think, is the fact that it's me." The Beatles ran the changes in albums and they all fit together....so.

Will be interested in reading that issue. I like when he does this with new record (RS interview), believe he did sort of the same thing with CHAOS.

Courtesy of Graystoke, this email... A post by someone on the Hoffman board: October issue of Uncut arrived this morning. In their "Coming Next Month" they indicate a review of the new album will appear in the next issue. They have obviously had a preview of some of the material and indicate that "the best work has been done with the slightly less hip Giles Martin. Our audience with the material suggested "Beatles '67" was not an inappropriate reference".

http//www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/fall-music-preview-2013-the-26-albums-you-need-to-hear-20130816/paul-mccartney-title-tbd-fall-2013-19691231?stop_mobi=yes This has been linked to before so if this is all there is there may not in fact be a full preview of the new album merely a preview of up coming new albums generally.

21st Century Paul:
One thing seems to be sure. The album is not gonna be the "hard-rock"/Foo Fighters-like album that was once rumoured to be. No talk about that in any new info...
I wouldn't be surprised if there were one or maybe two songs like that on the album. He does say it's very diverse!
yes, well, it could be 1 or 2 songs like that, but not an album based on songs like that, it seems

Doesn't look like an album title has emerged yet but I would still like to recommend that it be called IN THERE, the title indicating that it was, of course, recorded in a recording studio and to serve as a counterweight to the live music taking place OUT THERE. Also, the longer it goes without an official release date, the more likely it will come out in late October. One week from today is September 1. 2013 is moving At the Speed of Sound.
-
I would think mid october at this point. Single still not here and they generally come out 4-6 weeks before the album. But next month Q magazine has a review of the album supposedly so it shouldn't be too long after that. Press and radio will get their advanced copies and reviews will be printed so we'll at least know what to expect
-
Not sure what to think about the album title, but that Brazilian radio interview seemed to confirm that there's a song with the prominent line "everybody out there" that he expected to be performing live.
-
Well, now we know the names of four songs from the new sessions. We already had "Hosanah" & "Life as a party girl" and now thanks to a French Interview with Mark Ronson we have "News" and "Alligator"

Posted this before from Feb this year with Paul Epworth ...another song title "Struggle" and also says its a co write. And then he plays me, at ear-zinging volume, one of the songs he?s written and recorded with Paul McCartney for his next album. It?s called ?Struggle?, and sounds like Macca?s greatest non-Beatles song. But that?s not too hard. ?It could be a defining statement for him,? Epworth says of their four-song collaboration, ?especially [considering] where he is in his career??

I read that statement too, but of course the lazy journalist's comment about Struggle being Paul's "best non Beatle song, but that's not hard" really irritated me. I'd be the first to agree Paul's post Beatle music is very inconsistent, but his ignorance is very annoying.

I agre Boycie...I was a tad irritated with that as well!!! I still can't remember a new release shrouded in this much secrecy...hoping for a real winner

Makes me miss the days of the Club Sandwich and Beatles book monthly's, at least we had some info on what was occurring, but nowadays there's bugger all reported. Paul's website is really a major disappointment in regards to what's really going on in Paul world. This is something you're agitated with too Bob as you posted a couple of weeks back.

So now we've got: Hosannah Struggle News Alligator Life of a Party Girl (apparently not on album, but maybe a b-side or bonus track?) Starting to shape up nicely!
-
I can already imagine Alligator, a Squeeze-style pop rock song, opening with... "SAY YOU DON'T LOVE HIM, MY ALLIGATOR"
