Paul Collaborating with Kanye West

Kanye is in Australia right now.... making an a*ss of himself, by all accounts. Not a likeable fellow. Apparently had a headache, went to hospital and his minders cleared the floor of the general public. Mr Kardashian cracked the sads when he and Kimmy went for a stroll down one of our better known streets because she was getting all the attention. HE just irks me so much, let alone his music. Doesn't bode well.
Nice summary of the TMZ gossip, but you failed to mention that on the same day Kanye West was rushed to the hospital and the doctors decided to let him undergo an instant MRI scan, instead of "postponing" the leg of a tour and never come back to Australia like other artists would do, he went straight from the hospital to the venue that night and performed a 2+ hour show for the fans.
He went straight from the hospital to the venue to perform??? The aspirin must have worked quickly.
Yes, I heard one of the nurses was about to dispense the aspirin, but he rushed up behind her and told her there was another nurse who was better and should be more deserving of feeding him the aspirin.

7 cannot WAIT. To hear what they. Do! I trust Paul's judgement! He's never failed to amase me, I am sure it will be awesome. You GO Paul!, D

Kanye West Stops Concert to Yell At Kid in Wheelchair, ?Stand Up!? http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/09/14/kanye-west-stops-concert-to-yell-at-wheelchair-bound-kid-stand-up.html

Think this through, Paulie. ... Think it through.

EXACTLY! I just read about what he did at his concert last night. I just don't want to see Paul collaborate with someone like this. Someone that is so full of himself he won't continue his show unless everybody is standing, among some of the other things he has done. I don't care if Kanye is some "musical genius" He's a jerk that needs a huge dose of reality. I would have walked right out of that show last night had I been there, and I would do the same for any other artists acting like that during a show.

What a jerk. :

"PAUL MCCARTNEY CLAIMS MURDER OF JOHN LENNON IS JUST "A DRAG"". Once again, no matter how hard you want to try to hate this artist, don't be brainwashed by the media. What about a little context: http://www.vulture.com/2014/09/kanye-west-wheelchair-incident-is-nothing.html And I guess they didn't make a big nonsense story out of this, from 3 months ago, eh? http://uk.eonline.com/news/551657/kanye-west-s-kindhearted-gesture-rapper-gives-his-mic-to-fan-in-wheelchair-at-concert

But it's not just this one story that makes me think he's not a nice person. It's all the stuff combined from over the years, including the stuff he's done live on TV and on stage. He may do a few nice things here and there but sadly those don't outweigh the other things to me. I'm not brainwashed by the media, I have eyes and ears and I can see and hear. He still called those people out for sitting without knowing why or what was happening. As I said, he may be a musical genius but he needs a huge dose of reality to bring him back down to earth with the way he acts. And I will say that about any celebrity that acts like this. Paul isn't perfect, we all know that but at least he doesn't pull crap like this, and knows better than to act like that, especially on stage.

So Kanye West can be a jerk at times. So, it is reliably reported, could John Lennon. And so, according to multiple reports, could a whole lot of really talented people over the decades, from Warren Zevon to Lauren Bacall (see, for example, http://blogs.villagevoice.com/dailymusto/2012/09/more_proof_that_2.php)) . Being talented and being nice don't always coexist in the same person -- in fact, they frequently don't. That's what made the outpouring of love for Robin Williams so amazing -- apparently he truly was kind and generous to basically everyone he crossed paths with, a rare thing indeed. Kanye West may be an egotistic jerk, but he's not an ax murderer or a terrorist. Let's just see what music they make.

I have high hopes and expectations for the collaboration...very exciting!

?Welcome to today?s news, ladies and gentlemen. We got Americans getting killed on TV, we have kids getting killed every week in Chicago, we have unarmed people being killed by police officers, and we have Kanye West with an ice cream cone,? he said, referencing the now-infamous viral photo. Kanye went on to call the media?s coverage of him a ?little more sensationalized? than other stories, adding, ?they got this thing where they want the masses, people who never even heard one of my albums, to somehow read a headline that reads negative and to think I?m a bad person or something.? When in reality, Kanye continued, ?I?m a married Christian man with a family ? at my concerts, I make sure everybody has as a good of time as possible.? Kanye also poked fun at the idea of people being offended by him and his music. ?That?s my brand: I curse and I say really offensive things,? he said. ?This is rap fucking music. This is real music. This is real expression. This is real artistry. An artist?s career doesn?t happen in a cycle of one week of news. An artist career happens in a lifetime ? and if you?re a true artist, you?re willing to die for what you believe in.? Kanye concluded his comments by saying, ?Pick a new target, because I?m not one of those dumb ass artists you?re use to.?

How many people here have actually listened to any of Kanye's albums? His last album is full of some really interesting musical ideas. I admire him for pushing for new musical territory, when anyone else could just sit on their laurels. Yeah, I think he's the biggest douche bag ever. I cringe every time his name comes up in the news. But his music is exciting. I'm really curious to see if something comes up with him and Paul. I admit I'm cynical, but......I'd love to be surprised.
-
What cracked me up was the woman at the Kanye concert who took off her prosthetic leg and waved it at him and he said "Oh okay you get a pass" or something stupid like that! And paulfan11: "a musical genius?" If one is talking about Paul McCartney or John Lennon, okay! But Kanye West is just a musical mess to me. Sorry, but Paul should steer clear of this guy.
-
Well as a new fan of Mr. McCartney and as a very hungry for the new material fan ... I'm really interested in ANY new music of Sir Paul and I really think ANY of his songs is wonderful. It's just the song's title 'Piss On Your Grave' that shocked me a little What to expect from this collaboration - I don't know and that's exciting.

Kanye West Stops Concert to Yell At Kid in Wheelchair, ?Stand Up!? http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/09/14/kanye-west-stops-concert-to-yell-at-wheelchair-bound-kid-stand-up.html
Listening to the crowd booing those handicapped people, without even realizing the situation with the wheelchair pass and all. It must have been sad to be them Perhaps all handicapped people need to be wrapped in a bright colored tape, visible to the stage, so everyone (especially Kanye) can clearly see they have the wheelchair pass and all!! Maybe, he can even write a new song, Y'all stand and those of you in the handicapped seats, just wave your prosthetic! I will say, it is getting more and more difficult to remain unbiased toward a continuous pattern of poor behavior. As Gandhi once said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world" ****sighs and tries not to make judgement

Just thought it was worth mentioning that in Paul's Twitter Q&A yesterday, he mentioned that Kanye's show was one of his recent favorite concerts.
-
Kanye is a very talented & innovative artist & represents the "darker" side of lyrics/music that Paul hasnt had since John. A move Paul must make to remain innovative & relevant in the music scene. Paul is all about moving forward & experimenting.

I'm fine with that.
