Paul McCartney rapping
this one is great too. It's also got video

The closest thing to a hip-hop track that Paul McCartney ever made was "Spinning On An Axis," from Driving Rain [2001].

And you'll notice he actually sings "spinning on a axis" throughout the song, for extra street cred!

Paul hasn't had "street cred" since he got robbed in Lagos. "ZING!!!"
-
The Grey Album (Jay-Z & The Beatles) worked really well. 1 of the best albums of all-time. If the new collaboration sounds anything like it, I'm all for it!! The Grey Album:

[..] The early hiphop style of Grandmaster Flash and Afrika Bambaataa was very interesting, even good, and I enjoyed Will Smith with DJ Jazzy Jeff too. But unfortunately the community has used hiphop music as an excuse to glorify the gangster lifestyle and violence, and to turn porn into music. Nicki Minaj's new video Anaconda is just another example of how low hiphop has sunk. It's pure sleaze. I don't disregard hiphop because I don't like the music, I disregard it because I don't like the message. I realize it's popular, but I don't have to like it. It's a long way from "I want to hold your hand" to "I don't want none, unless you got buns"!
Ironically enough that's a sample ('Baby Got Back', 1992) from the same era as DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. And indeed, "I'm gonna do it to you, sweet banana, like a rabbit, gonna grab it" is a far cry fr? oh wait!

Still gossip, but this would be mega. Kanye West is one of the biggest musical geniuses of my generation, and it would be a musical dream to see him collaborating with Paul McCartney.
Yeah, but your generation sucks!! Just kidding.
-
As a member of the "younger" generation, I will say that, IMO, there is absolutely no hip hop or rap that is anywhere close to the musical quality of Paul McCartney. I understand why he might consider working with someone like Kanye from a marketing/popularity standpoint, but artistically speaking, Paul is in a whole different league.
-
I hope that Paul's genius will be enough for to make this collaboration something good...
-
Any word on this? I am so excited to hear something from this collab...(especially after the Destiny letdown). Kanye may be able to draw the best out of Paul

Kanye is in Australia right now.... making an a*ss of himself, by all accounts. Not a likeable fellow. Apparently had a headache, went to hospital and his minders cleared the floor of the general public. Mr Kardashian cracked the sads when he and Kimmy went for a stroll down one of our better known streets because she was getting all the attention. HE just irks me so much, let alone his music. Doesn't bode well.

I heard about his headaches on tv.

Isn't "Kanye" a Zimbabwe word meaning headache? ZING!!!

Or was he just a noisy baby, prompting his parents to say, "Kan ye keep it down, please?" And then it just stuck.
-
...perhaps if he were Jamaican?

Nice summary of the TMZ gossip, but you failed to mention that on the same day Kanye West was rushed to the hospital and the doctors decided to let him undergo an instant MRI scan, instead of "postponing" the leg of a tour and never come back to Australia like other artists would do, he went straight from the hospital to the venue that night and performed a 2+ hour show for the fans.

He went straight from the hospital to the venue to perform??? The aspirin must have worked quickly.
