Anyone notice a pattern?

McCartney is so whimsical with his muscial directions. The good thing in the long run is that the results one likes have a tendency to make up for those you don't like.
Quite true.

There could be a gray-area, but this forum seems to have the two extremes. I'm a proud member of the first camp.
And this is the man who's all excited about opening the "Hope For The Future" vinyl 12"??
Thrash Mix kicks ass.

Totally agreed. Another reason I think it's great he keeps challenging himself. parlance

Offended and angry... ...more like slighted and disappointed.
Don't forget hysterical and overreactive. Shitloads of those too!

As I've observed in my Elvis fan-groups, there are two types of McCartney fans: -Those who hold him to the very artistic standard that the man himself established -Ass-kissing sycophants
I am in the first camp also - lol.

Of course with that being said, just to clarify, I have no problem with folks who are of an opposite view.... no slings and arrows... all healthy debate .... But I am in the first camp.

Appropriate reaction: "Paul didn't sound good last night. Hope he doesn't feel badly about it not being the performance he wanted" Inappropriate reaction"how dare Paul embarrass us like that. He owes each one of us an apology for making poor choices . I didn't pay a dime to watch him on SNL, but in the past I've paid money to see him in concert so I'm owed".
I have no problem with reading different points of view about Paul's work, that's why I enjoy reading the threads! But sometimes the criticism can be too extreme to the point of sounding rude or disrespectful to Paul, IMO.

This is rock & roll, people. Social graces are for the Susan Boyle crowd. Paul's a big boy. He can handle it.

I may not like everything Paul does but this doesn't mean I don't "love him" I go regularly to his concert and buy everything he puts on the market, no matter whether i like it or not Just to say, i have loved him even when he invited me to f**off outside one of his venues in london as i was standing completely still and harmless But there's something i really don't understand about this topic: I have been at times criticizing his music, true Many of you have been criticizing his dyed hair for years Which of these is the most inopportune thing?
