Seems clear that he will be playing some U.S. dates too. That should help here!

No wonder Paul is going back to Japan: I just read that the single, "New," hit No. 4 on the charts there. I wasn't aware of that.

Thanks for the update, Carlos!

So has anyone heard anything more about the "Early Days" video that Paul said he was shooting over a month ago? It would seem like some further marketing push is planned, maybe in conjunction with tour dates, but the silence is deafening.
-
Bruce i think macca is waiting for shows in the US to put the video out because the theme of the song is for the Beatles 50 anniv. i hope that he score with this plan but is just me thinking i am like any other macca fan waiting for that video!!!
-
The tour is on south america and all sold out shows and huge reception will help on NEW sales. After that, US and Asia tour. And Save Video will help too.

Can anyone in South America update us on the local charts as they come out? It would be nice to see the album get a sales bump where he plays.

Amazon Germany is now offering the Japan Tour Edition of NEW. Release date may 20. Maybe this will help boosting the sales a bit...

Don't really think so ....at 52? or 70$...for a CD. Unless he gives away the CD to everyone attending his concerts (which he did with Driving Rain) this album won't resurface in the charts or go gold. Which is a shame since it's my fave post 70s Paul album (alongside DR)

He didn't give Driving Rain away to everyone who came to his concerts that year, at least not in the U.S. Does anyone know what, if anything, is different about this Japan Tour edition?

The CD seems to be the same as the Japanese version (including Struggle). The second disc is a DVD including live videos of the Tokyo Dome performances of ?Save Us? and ?Everybody Out There?, a Canadian documentary, ?A Rendezvous With Paul McCartney,? with footage from the 2013 Out There! Tour (22 minutes), the lyric video for the album's title song ?NEW,? the official video for ?Queenie Eye? and the documentary''Something New", on the making of ?NEW? (47 minutes).

According to ukmix forum, NEW was on position 2 on Japan Oricon daily sales. And still have shows there.

Is this Japan's primary chart, or is it their Foreign Artists chart again?

Good for Japan - they know a great album when they hear it!
