Misheard Lyrics
-
That "Little Red Rooster" song by the Stones cracked me up when I was a tiny child. I laughed and laughed whenever I heard it on the radio "if you see my little red rooster baby send it on home to me"
-
Silly Love Songs "I look around me and I see it in the snow" Correct: I look around me and I see it isn't so
-
I still hear " Feeling Kinda Girly Day By Day " in Listen To The Music by The Doobie Brothers.....I still have on idea ...what he says.. ops: ops:

That's like the opposite of 'girly'

I used to confuse ' I'll Be Back' w/ 'No Reply' roll

This didn't happen to me, but actually to my mother... She (a long time ago) thought the title/repeating chorus) of "Day Tripper" was "State Trooper"... (Needless to say I found this a bit embarrassing when she told me) Oh, well... At least it makes for a good story!
-
From Rock Show 'Behind the stacks you glimpse an ass' correct: 'Behind the stacks you glimpse an ax'

Reading through a few topics and posts, I thought of this misunderstanding as a more youthful age than today... Not being British when I first heard the Beatles song lyric about The House Of Lords I thought it meant "the house of the Lord". More wordly-wise folk would not have had the same misconception!!!
-
Doesn't make any sense, but I hear "stick of" too! Maybe it's "stuck up"? Would make more sense!

Here's a neat video some guy put together where he strung a bunch of misheard lyrics into a medley. It has several Beatles and post-breakup Beatles songs (can't remember if any solo Paul is in there or not).
