PAUL AND NANCY ARE MARRIED!

3. Paul has spent a lifetime writing about his relationships, his love life, his marriages --- in song -- and asking people to care about those things and to spend money on albums and books about those things. It's a little late to ask people not to be interested in his new marriage. Of course any conversation on this board should be respectful. But when Nancy talks to the New York Post about her ring and their future plans, how is that inappropriate for people to talk about what she said here?
Hey sweetie I never said the thread was dumb, I said the comments where a little too personal, I never told ANYONE not to talk about it or comment on it, And you know Paul McCartney personaly I assume as to you're 3. point, and you know wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much about what Nancy has said about ANYTHING. Oh and by the way you are on the website a bit much too
That bit in bold is especially funny. I thought what I said in Point No. 3 was kinda obvious. Or did you think Paul wrote Maybe I'm Amazed and My Love about his favorite pair of shoes? And See My Sunshine was about his favorite spot to watch a sun rise? But Paul and I are good friends, actually. I'm probably going to be invited to the wedding. (Ok, I admit, my vast knowledge of Nancy was based on reading one article about her in the New York Post. If that makes me obsessed, so be it.)

I do smell that! I wanted to step back in and also say that while I don?t prefer personal gossipy threads, I was probably stating things such as ?this thread is garbage? out of my rear end. I went back and read most of this thread and its all whatever, all good fun. I?m happy for Paul and McGill er.. Nancy Sorry for coming on so strong with my ?personal life off limits? routine. Its just the way I try to do it, not necessarily the right or wrong way. andy88, you and I should probably just show ourselves the door on this one it ain?t about sniffing out arguments. (its about sniffing out shows!) PeAcE

I've never even heard Nancy speak. I just assume she can. I asked if I was invited to the wedding and was told I'd be seated next to Stella.

From an article in a Dutch newspaper: Wedding is gonna take place soon and Nancy is going to move to the UK. Welcome to Europe Nancy
I just lost 50 bucks! we thought for sure Paul would move to NY since he already lives there. However, with Bea and such, we weren't sure. But I lost my bet.

He has a house there but doesn't live there. He lives in the UK

Got a bit of a mention on The View today courtesy of Barbara Walters...
I don't know if I should mention this but friends were talking who watch the View and Walters made some comment about Paul having x number of kids and grandkids with another grandchild on the way and we all were like, "WHo? DId she just let something slip?" we're wondering. (I won't say what we guessed)

It probably is Mary because Stella just had Reiley last Nov. Also, I'll show my ignorance, but who is the young man with Paul? Is that Nancy's son Arlen?

Yes, that's her son.

Because I know (some) people like details and the like... http://stylenews.peoplestylewatch.com/2011/05/11/paul-mccartney-engaged-ring/ All you need is love ? but a dazzling ring sure doesn?t hurt. When Paul McCartney proposed to his girlfriend, New York businesswoman Nancy Shevell, he wanted a ring that was ?very special, different and rare,? says celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, who worked with McCartney, 68, on picking out the perfect sparkler. ?He was very excited and very serious about finding the right one because he wanted something truly exceptional.? McCartney?s choice? A rare 5-plus carat diamond art deco ring from Lane?s archival collection. Set in platinum with a flawless round, central diamond, the ring has strips of black onyx along the sides. ?It has a beautiful vintage feel to it,? says Lane. ?Very romantic, elegant and glamorous but with a bit of cool glitz and rock and roll.? As for how the proposal went over with Shevell, 51, Lane says, ?They?re thrilled and totally in love.? Fun fact: ?[McCartney] was walking around with the ring for weeks and he said it was burning a hole in his pocket!? Lane says. ?But he was waiting to pop the question at the right moment. They?re truly happy together!?

Really like what you wrote. That is so romantic. And I do agree with "all you need is love" May they be very happy together.

Paul and Nancy that's who! IMHO I don't think fans are going to get rat arsed as you so eloquently put it. IMHO they'll be genuinely happy for Paul and Nancy. I am.

To be fair, audi had the right to mention Hasslebeck, 'cause a huge picture had just been posted with her in it, and it brought her to his mind. His comment was actually quite witty. "rats arsed" (?)--Macsback Does that mean drunk, inebriated? I won't go so far as to party and celebrate the occasion with the poison alcohol (although discovering a good wine that doesn't cost a lot is always nice ). I wish them well, though. I don't have any illusions about wedlock anymore, don't believe in the fairy tale completely, but it's an intriguing mystery wondering how it really is. Macca is really into "wedded bliss" so it must have some definite attributes and advantages. The main one I can think of is to have a "constant companion" if you want that. I can hardly imagine a more desirable companion than Paul M.--he'd be a great one, methinks. How would you be, if you were wed to him? I'd probably think about his imposing musical creativity a lot, encourage him to express it.
