PAUL AND NANCY ARE MARRIED!

To be fair, audi had the right to mention Hasslebeck, 'cause a huge picture had just been posted with her in it, and it brought her to his mind. His comment was actually quite witty. "rats arsed" (?)--Macsback Does that mean drunk, inebriated? I won't go so far as to party and celebrate the occasion with the poison alcohol (although discovering a good wine that doesn't cost a lot is always nice ). I wish them well, though. I don't have any illusions about wedlock anymore, don't believe in the fairy tale completely, but it's an intriguing mystery wondering how it really is. Macca is really into "wedded bliss" so it must have some definite attributes and advantages. The main one I can think of is to have a "constant companion" if you want that. I can hardly imagine a more desirable companion than Paul M.--he'd be a great one, methinks. How would you be, if you were wed to him? I'd probably think about his imposing musical creativity a lot, encourage him to express it.
yes susy, it means getting drunk, i'll have you speakin our lingo in no time

Macsback:
are any fans on here going to celebrate the occasion by getting rat arsed?
Since they pro won't announce the wedding date I can't get pissed at the day of the wedding but I don't mind getting drunk the weekend after And I'll make sure to have an extra toast on him when I'm with my Macca buddies in Liverpool this Aug. Bring on da beer!!! :

Because I know (some) people like details and the like... http://stylenews.peoplestylewatch.com/2011/05/11/paul-mccartney-engaged-ring/ All you need is love ? but a dazzling ring sure doesn?t hurt. When Paul McCartney proposed to his girlfriend, New York businesswoman Nancy Shevell, he wanted a ring that was ?very special, different and rare,? says celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, who worked with McCartney, 68, on picking out the perfect sparkler. ?He was very excited and very serious about finding the right one because he wanted something truly exceptional.? McCartney?s choice? A rare 5-plus carat diamond art deco ring from Lane?s archival collection. Set in platinum with a flawless round, central diamond, the ring has strips of black onyx along the sides. ?It has a beautiful vintage feel to it,? says Lane. ?Very romantic, elegant and glamorous but with a bit of cool glitz and rock and roll.? As for how the proposal went over with Shevell, 51, Lane says, ?They?re thrilled and totally in love.? Fun fact: ?[McCartney] was walking around with the ring for weeks and he said it was burning a hole in his pocket!? Lane says. ?But he was waiting to pop the question at the right moment. They?re truly happy together!?
Thanks for linking to this. What a sweet story. I bet he was all hyper and cute looking at those rings and trying to pick one. As I said I'm not much for rings personally (I only have one!) but that ring is stunning -- not the size per se. I just like the art deco design. Very cool.

I wonder if they're going to announce to 'the public' that they're getting married or that one day a newsarticle will show up saying that they got married recently and that's it?

My guess (and I've lost every bet so far) is that courthouse weddings tend to be rather small. It could get pretty crowded easily with just the invited guests there let alone all the paps swarming around outside. They'll probably schedule some form of press event afterwards but the press will no about it in advance. I wonder if one or two press photographers will be allowed an exclusive? (I don't know how these things work. I'm making it all up). I can bet 3/4 of the articles on the wedding after it happens will have the same four or five lines repeated ad nauseum. That seems to be the way most of these articles work.

So when is the big day? (I wonder if any royals will be there...)

Ok, so now it is official. Nancy seems to be good for Paul & we all know she's no golddigger. I wish them both all the happiness in the world.

for the manner of fact greek talk : ,so nacy and Paul you can come for your marriage in Greece we have beautiful islands.
Wow. An actual comment about Paul and Nancy in this thread. How refreshing. Where shall we have them take their honeymoon? Greece does sound lovely. They both like beaches. Maybe the Caribbean? Thoughts?

The other thought I had about all of this engagement news coverage: It's amazing how Nancy became a "celebrity" overnight. I just saw today on the Daily Mail's Web page, one of those ridiculous stories they publish with a bunch of pictures of women in bathing suits. It's basically an opportunity for all the commenters to rag on how the women look. Well today's story was about whether women over 50 should wear bikinis and they had a bunch of photos of famous actresses, models, etc., over 50 wearing bikinis on the beach. Guess who was the FIRST woman pictured: Nancy!! I hope she's prepared for the onslaught of publicity that comes wth being Paul's wife (and the unfortunate tendency of people to pick apart whoever he is married to). Personally, I couldn't stand that. Hope she loves him enough to put up with it.

I'm just gonna concentrate and focus on Paul's professional career, not his personal life. I won't let this put me off him like his marriage to Heather Mills did, I still loved his music but I didn't care for him as much. This new one seems inoffensive and innocuous, yet I still feel some irritation in me creep in, I'd best just ignore it as much as possible, all this marriage and wedding hoopla
