I have had my doubts about Maybe I'm Amazed as well but l0ve the song so much and he did it better last night than in Atlanta in October. If we could vote on it, I would say yes to leaving it in. As for Back in the USSR, don't think that was a single here in the U.S. as no singles were drawn from the White album. Elsewhere... What he said about and dedicated to Charleston was wonderful, spot on. A very moving moment. One After 909--I am sure many people there didn't fully realize the significance of this song, its history from the late 1950s, to Let It Be, to now just a few places live. What a great treat. Hope for the Future--Just superb, wonderful song that exceeds anything else in recent years. I loved hearing it live as I was so afraid it might get dropped after he left Europe. That has happened to other songs-Come and Get It, think (I Want To) Come Home went that route as well. Temporary Secretary--Never liked it on Maccaa II, was shocked to hear that it entered the set list, worked well live although like many I can think of numerous other songs from him that I would rather hear. Its style lends itself to the variety of music that the concert encompassed and therefore is a good pick. I think having one encore rather than two works better, keeps things moving. Congrats to Rick Glover. My brother and his wife (very casual fans) were with us and I had told them about him and his attendance records and then there he was on stage, a legend in his own right! Have never met him but know of him through here. Glad he gave Paul that Fans on the Run button. Maybe Paul will wear it on his jacket lapel for the cover of a new live CD encompassing all the songs done since Good Evening New York City that are unique in the post-2009 tour era when the last live CD came out (I wish!!)

I doubt My Valentine comes out anytime soon unless he has a new song for Nancy. He is going to want to have a song for her in the set and right now that is it. That is one for him and he is certainly allowed to have a song or two that he wants to play.
Agree 100%.

"... McCartney said this was the last show of the American leg of the tour, and I guess he is excluding Lollapalooza from the tour because it will be a condensed setlist and stage set. So based on that alone, I guess this is the end of Out There for North America! I hope we all can see him next time with some big changes.
Great review! Do you recall when (before which song?) Paul announced that this was the last show of the American leg of the tour? Thank you!

It would make sense to end OutThere, release this Tour CDs and DVDs, maybe a new album (?) ... and get ready for the next Tour! I wouldn't mind ...

What he said was that is was their "last show of the North American tour before we take it to Europe." He is coming back for Lollapalooza and on Sept 30 will play the PETA gala in LA. I suspect he will do other shows around one of those dates.

Great seeing you up there Rick,
-
I endured the incredible heat to see Paul arrive and got a good wave in. I knew it would be a special trip when I stopped into Whole Foods on the way to the airport and was immediately serenaded with "Someone's knockin' at the door, Somebody's ringin' the bell."

anyone know the teenage girl Cameron or her mom on this board, please PM me, I have photos for Cameron. Cameron was sitting next to me at the show.

Any news about soundcheck setlist?

Just arrived to Columbia to help fiance move. Drove past several Paul banners that are still up. I teared up since timing with his job and this move kept me from coming to this show that we could have walked to. Thanks for the detailed review, and I'm glad Rick was called up.

A trauma, didn't get to go because of car trouble, was tremendously sad about missing the Columbia concert and watched youtube vids of it and saw pix of it and all (Paul wore blue jeans, looked so cute) and wish he would release a new concert DVD entitled "Paul in the South U.S.A." with various songs he did in Southern cities, especially Columbia. At first I feared he might cancel because of the Charleston atrocity. But he didn't make everybody in S.C. suffer by not appearing and dedicated "The Long and Winding Road" to those shot down in the Charleston church. So much rapturous screaming and yelling at the Columbia gig, the way he and band were received makes me wonder if he might want to play there again. If that might conceivably happen.
