Reading this article by coincidence, I noticed how Paul's song mentioned as to help achieve an out-of-body-experience!! here is the [link[/color">](https://www.yahoo.com/health/can-science-shed-light-on-films-out-of-body-plot-95423099557.html]<span style=)

There are even people out there who claim they can induce out-of-body experiences at will, without drugs. ?Simply put, an out-of-body experience is an experience in which you seem to be consciously apart from your physical body,? writes Robert Peterson, author of ?Out Of Body Experiences: How to Have Them and What to Expect." Peterson, who claims to have had many such episodes, has written extensively on the subject. In one chapter of his book, he shares step-by-step instructions on how to achieve an out-of-body-experience. Tips range from listening to certain songs ("Backwards Traveler" by Paul McCartney is one of the suggested tunes); attempting the experience in the morning after you've woken up without an alarm clock; and visualizing a small object, such as a small cube. ?Of course, I can't guarantee positive results,? Peterson cautions in his book. ?Your success depends on the amount of effort you put forth.?

      strange. ain't it?!

Makes sense. Backwards Traveller takes me to another place when listening on headphones. Quite hypnotic. Must try it!

That is usually the result of using a mantra in meditation, so I can imagine certain songs could give you the feeling of travelling without a vehicle. "Blue Jay Way" comes to mind also.

If you listen to Auraveda from Rushes could feel the same, it works for me at least...

              Please, come back soon!!!!

Can you explain what you mean by works for you? For me it was a chance to re-visit "Backward Traveler", I do think it has a dreamy feeling in it but "Out of the body"? is there really such a thing?

I heard a Britney Spears song for the first time in my life and had an out of body experience. I wanted to be anywhere but there.

I think my interest in music comes from a kind of out of body experience. I could put on for example "Rubber Soul" and have an experience of the music like a trip to the moon. I thought this was fantastic so I played the record for friends and they thought it was OK. I was so dissappointed... It was then I realized everything is something else, depending on the eye of the beholder.

I don't know about such experiences but for producing a somnolent mood on a hot, lazy summer day try putting on "Summer's Day Song" from Macca II. The show, dreamy melody as well as the lyrics have put me into a stupor on at least one occasion. I just wish it lasted for ten minutes!

Always loved that melody. Paul's pure voice here is so dreamy, they can fly you above the clouds. more... I was 12 years old when I fell in love with it along with other McCartney II tracks. Paul was my favorite Beatle from that moment.

The way I see it, your soul is separate from your body. When you realize that, then you are freer to have an out of body experience. People also experience this meditating, taking psychedelic drugs, in dreams or dream like states, there are numerous ways to experience this. You know when people die and there are stories of them leaving their bodies and they hover over their body and can describe things like who was in the waiting room and what people said. Then they come back to their body and describe what they saw. There have been numerous experiences of this kind. These are out of body experiences too. There was a TV show a while back, so many people all describing the same thing basically. Most of them experiencing going to heaven. There has even been doctors who have experienced this, have claimed to go to heaven and then were told they had to go back, it wasn't time. Just google Near Death experience. There are so many you tubes, even atheists who believe in God after they return.

Well. I've had the experience of feeling trapped inside my body/head. I had a thrombosis in my right eye in April last year. It caused so much visual disturbances, especially the first half year afterwards that I thought I was going mad. It was like torture. beacuse of floaters and constant movements that disburbed my vision. I have a damage to my eye, fortunately peripheral vision towards nose. There is poor circulation due to tissue that died. It can apparently take both one and two years for eyes to heal, so I hope still that it should be even better. But hey, back to basic... in a way I believe after this that body and mind are two different things.

I've continually had these types of eye problems for many years. The floaters do clear up over time. I had something shaped like a paramecium floating around for over a year, that was awful, and maddning, but it dissolved finally. Now I have cracks in the eye that had a detached retina...but the eye surgeon said its OK... If you see hundreds of black dots, go to an eye surgeon immediately, your retina has detached and the quicker they fix it, the less vision you lose! It's like looking through a fishbowl, those floaters

I have a limited capacity of English words, but I'll try to explain it better by searcing on the Internet. It's not just floaters but an "eye stroke" caused by a blood clot. It's the same as if you have a stroke or a heart attack, only that this clot stopped in my eye. An eye infarction. It's called 'Retinal artery occlusion' and is a blockage in one of the small arteries that carry blood to the retina. So I am partially blind in the eye, in peripheral vision toward the nose. There is nothing one can do about it, but it will get better in the long run. It's a collaboration between the eye and the brain going on. I also use blood thinners because of it.

Sorry to hear... I've had a lot of eye problems, but not that... I'm so sorry for misunderstanding. Hope you regain some peripheral vision when the blood clears out some... I had blood spill when my retina tore...I went the same day for laser surgery, but it took a long time to heal and clear up the floaters. I have missing vision but the brain learns and fills in some of the missing parts. I notice it mostly in dark planes, the vision is darker in one eye. I take vitamins and minerals to help heal. Hope it clears up some for you!

It's okay, it's a bit technical and difficult to explain. Even in Norwegian. But it's getting much better now. Everything has progressed in the right direction. When I woke up 14 April 2014, my eye was like looking through a cracked window. And when the healing began I got a lot of vision disturbance that was difficult to handle, and I also had a lot of angst and paranoia. Going blind... it's a horrible thought. The damage is irritating, beacuse the eye is 'finely tuned'. I have a kind of drifting clouds and floaters. How visible it is to me depends a bit on lightning. Especailly white have tendendy to reflect and make the damage more visible for the eye. But... I can laugh about it now. It's only death knocking on the door, saying hi, we'll see each other later.
