Love it!! Reminds me a bit of "Penny Lane".
To me it;s like a modern Penny Lane meets Instant Karma.
Hmmm. It does sound suspiciously close to early 70s Lennon. Wonder if the Lennon worshipers will point this out.
-
What about this sounds Lennonesque? I think it screams McCartney! It has that regal Penny Lane feel we've been discussing...very distant from anything John would've done. I personally think the name is perfect. It's a tounge in cheek right along with the past few album titles and tour names we've gotten. Brilliant!

I really really like this song! Can't wait for October 14th!
-
It's very good, I haven't been hooked on a song immediately since... well, since eighteen months ago and My Valentine but really as a lead single off of a proper album it's better than, oh, all of them for about 25 years or something close to that. It's New. Thankyou Paul.

So I'm in the kitchen making a cup of tea, looking out the window waiting for the water to boil...and I'm finding myself humming the new song already!!! Nothing deliberate - just involuntary. Paul you ARE a genius.
-
Yummmmm...

OK People help me out. Is this the first single? Or is this a preview track???

I really love this song. Definitely the best preview-single since "My Brave Face" (1989) / "Hope Of Deliverance" (1992). At least this is my opinion. I strongly prefer this to "Young Boy", "From A Lover To A Friend", "Fine Line" and "Dance Tonight" / "Ever Present Past". It reminds me to "Your Mother Should Know" meets the Beach Boys. It also has some "English Tea" fingerprints here and there. What a beautiful song. Can't wait for the NEW album. We are all blessed to be contemporary to this man. He is writting history as we speak and even if he doesn't even know that I exist, he's a friend of mine who has been bringing me joy for decades. I can't express the happiness of having listened to this song for first time. Loved it!
-
Like those little 'a chukka's in there too. Reminiscent of some other Macca songs. The more I listen, the more I hear. I know I'm humming this already which is a really good sign!

I know what you're listening to. I'm listening to it to!
-
It's a clapalong song!
-
Is he singing about meeting John or Linda?
-
I'm already singing along! Having a little trouble on that high run though...although he voice has sort of settled for the evening...or so it thought

I would assume Nancy.
-
Oh it's gotta be Nancy...isn't that a given? The song is called NEW after all!
-
You came along and made my life a song, One lucky day, You came along/Just in time, while I was searching for a rhyme, you came along, then we were new... That's classic Macca, I'm expecting another rhyme on "Rhyme" and I don't get it.
