Paul's New Album-- "New"-- CONFIRMED
-
I love the song...can't wait for the album!
-
All my life, I never knew what I could be, what I could do, then we were new... LOVE this song. I've listened to it about 20 times tonight and it will be the first thing I listen to in the morning. How does he keep coming up with these wonderful tunes??? Genius!

Great catchy single! Sort of Sgt Peppers meets Pet Sounds in 2013 Very excited about the "new" album!!
-
Wow. This is the Paul McCartney I grew up with in the late '60s. Very Beatlesque and a perfect first single, catchy and instantly memorable.
-
oobu24, I'm listening to the song and watching your moving picture of Paul doing the wavy hands for the girls singing their 'Nah, nah, nahs' and his motions fit right in with the rhythm of this song. Watch it and listen...too funny!

This new song sounds to tame and safe to me. I was hoping for something more exciting and energetic. I hope this is just a preview and not the first single.

Ahhhhhh! I love it! I can't stop dancing to it!
-
Just realized as I'm laying on the couch listening on my laptop that my foot is keeping time with the beat. Oh, yeah, Paul, you've won me over with this one. So anxious for this album now that I've heard the first single!

New
Plus this description from Paul's Facebook page: "What's 'New' with Paul McCartney? Today Paul has made some 'New' music available. It's available from HERE: http://smarturl.it/PMnewiTunes Speaking about the New track, Paul said: "We can do what we want, we can live as we choose." This new track hints at things to come from Paul's forthcoming New album, set for release on October 14th in the UK (October 15th in the US). This will be his first album of brand New solo material in six years. Paul's New album will include 12 new songs, which he worked on with new collaborators. Paul?s New song is produced by Mark Ronson. More new details to follow in the coming weeks... Check it out below and let us know what you think?"

This is excellent! I'm quite excited. And the release is sooner than I expected. Excellent!

The more I listen the more I wonder if this could be about getting together with John/The Beatles in the early days, 'when we were new'. 'You came along and made my life a song, one lucky day, you came along. Just in time, while I was searching for a rhyme, you came along, then we were new.' Just a thought.
-
Instantly, I love it. Love the song itself, love the cheeky title, which is rife for plenty of puns (in a good way). Even more psyched for the new album now!
-
I LOVE the new song! Reminds me of Penny Lane... Plus: We have a release date!!!!
-
I just went on Paul's YouTube channel and played the song 5 times in a row. I have not done that with a new song by Paul or anyone in more years than I can remember. I love it more with each listening. And on YouTube I could literally see the "Likes" pile up as I listened. This one might catch on. Prediction: Critics will slam it for being too Beatleish.
-
Aha. I had a feeling this was one of the Mark Ronson tracks, something about the way it ends. Looks like I was right according to that Facebook post. This one makes me think more of Paul's solo 80s work than Beatles. I like it but don't know if it is a strong single. but happy to have it at last!

Thank You Paul! can't wait to hear the rest...
