Where's Paul been lately?

I suspect the mixing is taking place now or maybe has even been completed? Add on six months to get the promotional campaign set up and I guess we must be looking at the Autumn (October / November) for the new albums release. It could even be tied into the 50th anniversary of 'The Beatles' (White) album release for an extra boost of publicity. Unless of course The Beatles decide to re-issue that album in which case Paul's album could be brought forward so as not to coincide.
There was a photo on Instagram from late December 2017 of Paul with two well-known mixers, in New York. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bc8IK0rAyMf/?taken-by=defyrecordings Not sure how an album is mixed... if some songs are mixed at one time, then other songs at another time... or the whole album has to be mixed together, but is it possible that the mixing has already been done, and over the last few weeks he's been working on the promotional campaign? If that's the case, the album could have an early summer release instead.

Ryan Tedder posted a quick clip in his Instagram Story this week (after he posted the photo of him and Paul) showing them with Spike Stent, who is known as a mixing engineer. If they're working on Paul's album, that would suggest there is still some mixing going on:

When I first read your post I immediately thought “ Two King mixers?” (AHDN reference) Lol!

Thanks, AcresofFun, I saw this photo and video but didn't know if that was for a separate track Paul was doing as a guest on someone else's album.. it probably is for the new album though, he could have more than one mixer doing work on it.

Would be interesting if he ever used mixers with the last name of King! lol

Usually if an album isn't out by May it would have to wait until September as June / July / August are dodgy months to release a new album has sales are usually well down. Off the top of my head I can only think of 'Back To The Egg' (released early June) falling into the 'summer period' and that hardly set the charts on fire. I suppose in theory if the mixing is nearing completion the new album could be out by the end of May but I suspect it will be post-September now. If Paul wants to do live shows to coincide with its release, then several of the new songs will have to be rehearsed and added to the set etc which all takes time to sort out.

Thanks, Kestrel! What you've said makes sense. Wonder how a later release would affect tour dates this year... If he has a new album coming out, he might not want to tour until this fall, unless he chooses to still do some "One on One" dates in places he hasn't been to yet, on that tour. Will be interesting to see what he announces in a month or two

So proud of Paul for taking part in this, and for standing up against gun violence! I'm sure it's very personal to him, and something he believes in very strongly, and his support for this means alot, and will help the cause very much!
Have always been in support of stricter gun control. As someone who was almost a victim of gun violence, it's very personal to me. About a month ago, I was taking care of the neighbors' dog while they were away, and their son invited a friend to stay at their house while they were gone , but they didn't tell me. When I walked in the door, after using the key, the son's friend had a gun in his hand thinking I was an intruder. I had known him before from the church I used to go to, so he knew who I was and said "Oh, Leslie, phew, I'm so glad it's you, I almost shot you!" I played it cool and just took the dog and his food and left and kept the dog at my place. I called the neighbor on her cell and told her what happened. She was very apologetic and had the guy's father come over right away and take him out of their home. Also, she was having repairmen come over to fix something while they were gone and she didn't want the risk of that guy pulling a gun on them or causing violence.
My point is, we all have to do our part in preventing violence from happening. Anytime someone has a gun, especially in a situation where there is no danger involved, it's best to report it, or talk about it, so everyone can feel safe, and no one will be hurt! It's getting to the point where almost everyone knows someone who has been a victim, or intended victim, and no one should take any chances.
Again, so proud of Paul for standing up and being counted in this very important cause!

I understand this. in the political debate regarding the issue (and I'm not about to start one here on either side) I can easily tell who's been in a mass shooting and who hasn't. Note: I'm talking mass public shootings. Not just family violence, which is what the march is addressing.
Having to hide in a darkened apartment in an inner city East Side Detroit neighborhood back in the 80s until the gunman just dissappeared is very unnerving. He had a machine gun of some type and the police flat out told us they weren't coming. that was daily there. just stay low and he'll leave. seriously. that sort of gives you a different perspective on the issue.

Same photo I was going to post, Calicosky!!! Wish I could have been there.

Sorry you had to endure that, and glad you were ok! No doubt you would have a different perspective now on gun violence, when you've lived through something like that.
I used to live in DC, and worked for the Defense Department and on 9/11 my office was only 1/4 of a mile away from the Pentagon. I almost took a job at the Pentagon which would have started a few weeks before 9/11, at the Chief of Naval Operations, but turned it down and stayed where I was... the plane actually hit right where I would have been working! Definitely had a guardian angel looking after me. It took quite a while to recover from that, even though I was ok.

From Paul's instagram
" Happy to be marching against gun violence. #marchforourlives #wecanendgunviolence #neveragain #everytown "

CNN did a very brief interview with Paul at the NYC March for Our Lives. Paul said, "One of my very best friends was killed in gun violence, right around here."

It was great to see them marching!!!
It seems so odd that they now want to put guns in every classroom. What if the teachers forgets to lock the gun drawer? What if the teacher has a bad aim and shoots a student by mistake. How much is insurance for the school districts going to rise with all of these teachers packing pistols?!? Ot a very well thought out program at all. They could use that Monet for programs that would help children realize that guns are not the answer, Peace and Love is the answer. Like the Beatles have said all along!!!
