Paul 's new album
-
Paul shouldn't be apprehensive. He had the guts to put out "Kisses" (LOL) and "Electric Arguments." This might be more of a "MAF" type thingie but that's hardly bad, either. Peeps could fall in and out of love with it, then fall back in again, it could be like that. And that's alright too. Whatever, it's gonna be good and the long wait renders it all the sweeter, when this finally comes out

All true. But, I want this to be his BEST EVER!!! It sounds like he's using the talent and time to do just that. Time is not on his side.....so I hope this is a truly great piece of art!!! (I will love it, no matter; he's so talented that there is always much to love in his albums, but, it would be nice if he really delivered a sensational award-winning album at this point in his career. )

There's another album thread...mods...please merge that one into this.
-
I think even if McCartney did the greatest album of his life, he wouldn't get credit for it!
-
I imagine that while Paul is still in the thick of this tour (and, by association, WOA and "Rockshow" promotion), he'll hold off on announcing the new album. My prediction: near the end of July, with the tour all but over, he'll announce the new album for September and a large-scale arena tour for the fall. ...or we'll just get "Venus and Mars" and "Speed of Sound" reissues in November.

I hope you're right about the album for Sept...but I'm not sure about a large scale tour for the fall...but who the heck knows. He sure is keeping us all guessin.

I agree - September time - it's when many of the big albums are released - ready for Christmas. Elton has just announced his for September. I just hope Paul's doesn't get 'lost' amongst all the others. There will need to be promotion - and yes hopefully a UK tour !

September is also big because it's just before the cutoff for Grammy Award eligibility. For both Paul and Elton, awards are much more likely than hit-packed albums these days!

no news yet?
-
When do you think it will be? I've got August.
-
Think this has already been covered in two other threads Paul's New Album and The Hot Review thread. Favourite is September or October. August is most unlikely - it's a dead month for new releases. Sept / Oct catches the Christmas market. And fairly sure that Paul takes much of August off.
-
yes, why are there so many album threads before it is even out? : I hope it is soon! I'll August! The sooner the better.
-
The Sun says the album will be out before the end of the year - along with ones from Britney, Robbie, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, etc,etc http//www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/4998206/robbie-williams-second-swing-album-in-time-for-christmas.html

really not much info that is real info on this new album. Is it a RocknRoll one or perhaps something really out there a bit of dance and electronics
-
From what McCartney, Abe, the producers say, it's definitely rock.

how true!
-
I really have nothing to add other than it will be a blessed day when Paul releases his next album! can't wait to hear the songs! the melodic twists and turns. out of the mind of McCartney. Sicko
-
Think it will be an expensive pre Xmas period - there is normally some Beatles product released by Apple and there is the first part (of three) of Mark Lewishohn's defintive history of The Beatles release on 10th October.
-
the sooner the better. Have there been any other reviews of it yet?

Are you kidding? Reviews of what? For someone who used to be so prolific, he sure has slowed down. He's gone "From Me To You" to "From Hare To Tortoise" !!!
