Echo Arena, Liverpool - 28 May 2015 - ARCHIVE
-
For VIP packages, I emailed there customer service and was told to update them on my itinerary. Just sent out the email saying I will not be at my home address starting next Tuesday and asked that after that date my ticket be left at Echo Arena will call/box office. As some have mentioned they get them there and the other VIP package I did, it was print at home then got your name checked off a list (Chicago show). I'll let you all know what they respond.

For those looking for something to do after the Echo Arena gig, The Macca band are playing a set at The Bierkeller on Thomas Steers Way. I've not seen them before but have friends who know the band and will probably be heading down there myself after the McCartney gig: Weblink: http://www.themaccaband.co.uk/home/4586344398

I assume those of us outside the UK also get overnight delivery which should arrive tomorrow? I really didn't want to take off a day from work sitting around waiting on a package, but I guess its too late to have them send it elsewhere since according to this e-mail it allready went out. Talk about lousy customer service. And I still don't know where I'm sitting at the show.

US delivery is 2 days after receipt of that e-mail. My Birmingham tickets arrived today; I received the e-mail from Event Travel on Tuesday. So if you got that e-mail today, your tickets should arrive on Monday. Luckily I was able to use my work address for the ticket delivery so as not to worry about a signature. Good luck!

well if it is 2 days where in mine I got the email Tuesday and still no ticket

Event Travel told me overseas delivery can take up to 7 days and sometimes longer? I got mine sent to my hotel, I'm a bit worried about them losing it!

As I understood it, the tickets were to be sent out 7 to 10 days prior to the event, but once sent, they would be going via International Courier which to me, means faster delivery and why they charged extra $$ for that service. Looking at the label on my package, I see that it left the UK on May 12th, which is the date Event Travel sent me the e-mail, and the tickets arrived today. But it makes sense to have your package sent to your hotel if you are worried it won't get to the US in time!

Oh so they did arrive in a few days time? That's good! I live in Australia so maybe it's different. They told me the tickets most likely wouldn't arrive on time that's why they suggested having them sent to the hotel. I just hope they don't get misplaced as they will arrive at the hotel before I do!

they told me it would be sent and if I did not get it when I leave for the UK to let them no and theyd make arrangments

This is a first for me, I got an email saying they were sending my tickets to my house as well. All the shows I've done over in the UK/Europe, I never received them prior to the show while doing VIP. Regular tickets or lesser packages I did get me tickets though

Sorry didn't realize you were in Australia. Yes probably different delivery time. Definitely safer to send them to your hotel. and anyone traveling to the UK for the shows from elsewhere - you may not have heard but there's to be a 24-hr rail strike starting on the evening of Mon. 25 May til Tues. 26th May - so that may change your travel plans if you were planning to take the train to Liverpool on those days...

I would agree with your opinion of "lousy service" Mark. It's hard to not feel a bit jerked around at this point. I did receive an email this morning from Event Travel and they said that my ticket should arrive Monday or Tuesday between 8am-5pm. I'm 3,000 miles further west than you so maybe you'll get yours today (Friday). I also just received an email from the Trainline.com telling me that the train employees are planning a strike on May 25, 26. I was training it from Manchester to Liddypool--NOW what? I sure hope Paul appreciates all we go thru to be there for him!!! : Austin 5/22/13 Sound check! You can get a coach or bus from Manchester to Liverpool, takes less than an hour. Google it - there are several companies where you can book online. Good luck!
