SAVE US!

Paul's the "energizer bunny"?? That's cute Precious
-
I absolutely love Save Us. New grew on me after hearing it a few times and Every body out there seems like the weakest of the 3. It reminds me of Mrs. Vanderbilt and I love mrs vanderbilt so maybe it will grow on me too.
-
There was speculation weeks ago that "Save Us" and "Struggle" might be the same song, since "Struggle" was called (by Mark Ronson??) one of his best songs ever, yet "Struggle" is not showing up in any track listing, including bonus tracks. I wonder what happened, because I'm fairly convinced that there's no way the two titles could be the same song.
-
Yeah, unless Ronson was rolling drunk there's no way he could have called "Save Us" Paul's best song ever! The only thing it has going for it is it's "rythm", but sounding like a mix of a "Only Mama Knows" outtake and of "No Values" certainly doesn't make it qualify for that title I think I prefer "Get out of my way" as far as "rockin'" songs go!
-
Sorry, that was Paul Epworth who produced "Struggle." A UK article about Epworth stated: "And then he plays me, at ear-zinging volume, one of the songs he?s written and recorded with Paul McCartney for his next album. It?s called ?Struggle?, and sounds like Macca?s greatest non-Beatles song. But that?s not too hard." http://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/esmagazine/the-spin-doctor-the-man-adele-and-florence-turn-to-when-they-want-a-hit-8474660.html So what's the deal, unless "Struggle" is actually "Queenie Eye" or "Road"?

I've got one question...what is that "crowing" noise he makes mid song? check here at 5:06

Save Us does sound like Back To The Egg in a good way. Everybody Out There sounds like Off The Ground in a good way.

I'm guessing it will sound cooler on the studio track!

Yes, it prolly will. But I wonder what other actual words would have fit in that spot? Maybe 1,2,3,4,5,6

-
yes, this version on Jimmy Fallon tonight was quite a tempered-down version than the other times performed live thus far perhaps this is more true to the album version

Yes!
Yes! I love Off The Ground!! That's a good comparison! I think "Everybody Out There" has a taste of "Young Boy" in it. I'm sure somebody can do a awesome remix of "Everybody Out There/Young Boy." If anybody can, send it to me! I would love that! But yeah, I definitely hear "Young Boy" in that song which amazes me because when I was a child I would always sing "Young Boy" around the house and it was my favorite! I was 6 at the time it came out. Brings back so many memories of my childhood, and now with "Everybody Out There," I'll have great memories during my college years as a "young man looking for a way to find love," or maybe just my place in the world.

hehe yeh, like i stated after the Sept. 23rd Jimmy Kimmel appearance -
simplyrahil:
'hope of deliverance' comes to mind for many when hearing 'everybody out there' because the first strummed chords in E.O.T. are the chords for the first line of H.O.D.'s chorus - F to Aminor for me though, the song has a 'young boy' feel to it and a much slower 'if you wanna' feel as well

Thanks for sharing that! I think Paul and Co. sounded great on this. I love seeing Paul and his band on a small stage, showing that he really is engaging and charismatic without all the lights and smoke and videos. Not really needed.

This is a great performance. I swear, Paul comes across like he's 30 years younger than he is. He looks like he's having the time of his life.
