Could the new Kanye/McCartney single All Day be his best?
-
In terms of relevant and cutting edge this may be Paul's coolest single since "Jet" and a Beatle worthy addition to the McCartney cannon. The reviews are very strong and favorable for this single. The man has still got it! http://fdrmx.com/kanye-west-feat-theophilus-london-allan-kingdom-paul-mccartney-all-day-single-review/

Well, THAT review certainly isn't very favorable!
-
Yes, strange link to provide.

Paul's vocal at the end is AMAZING!

First, wonder what Mr. McCartney thought of being part of a song that had the "N" word used so many times. The good news is that appears Mr. McCartney did a great vocal so I am more interested in hearing this song compared to the others that were already released.

McCartney and Kanye have another hit on their hands! Macca has a great melody that twists and turns at the end in a very cutting edge delivery. This collaboration is proving to be his most fruitful and successful since working with Lennon.
-
Hopefully, this song will get to #1 on the Hot 100. The hip hop community seems to like it. Looks like 45seconds stalled at #4. Still been a great year for Macca in terms of relevance: a Top 40 hit & a Top 5 hit.

Ya' and the reviews are very solid!~ This song is going to be huge!

Paul's best single since Jet? Man...where have you been? And this is NOT Paul's single. I highly doubt that he will be opening his concerts with that. I doubt if we'd even be allowed to print the lyrics here.

"Paul's best single since Jet? Man...where have you been? And this is NOT Paul's single. I highly doubt that he will be opening his concerts with that. " Exactly, you are so correct. As for opening his concerts, he would not open concert with his own hit single even if he had one - lol !!

Ah, so there it was, finally a song with rapping and they even got the word nigga in there. Now you can relax Paul, 'been there, done that'.

Actually, he should be ashamed of himself. Constantly tells the story of the meaning of "Blackbird" being about the Civil Rights struggle and then is part of a song that uses the N word constantly, that is hypocritical IMO.

Listened to the end. Can't bring myself to listen to the rest. I don't listen or buy songs with that word in it no matter who the artist. I won't end up owning this one.
-
Well, rappers use that word all the time, I've got plenty of records in my collection, as long as black people use it it's okay with me. As for the song, it's a nice enough try, I think as it stands, the collaboration, if they have more songs and none of those are very good, they still managed to create "FourFiveSeconds" which to me is a very good song and a memorable combination of stylistically rather different artists.

The music video for the song, still to be released, was directed by Steve McQueen; that is, the Steve McQueen who directed the movie 12 Years a Slave, not the late Blob actor. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/listen-kanye-west-drops-new-song-all-day-music-video-to-come-from-steve-mcqueen-10081665.html A couple of good reviews of the track, but they don't seem to realize that Paul is not only whistling but also singing after that. I guess they're not used to his current voice the way we are. http://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/17354-kanye-west-all-day-ft-allan-kingdom-theophilus-london-and-paul-mccartney/ http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/hear-kanye-wests-triumphant-new-all-day-20150302

"Well, rappers use that word all the time, I've got plenty of records in my collection, as long as black people use it it's okay with me." As my mother taught me, "Two wrongs don't make a right".
