      Seuss:

      fiser1:

Can't wait to see Paul! Anyone meeting up before hand for a drink? Or is there anywhere cool /good to go to before?

A restaurant just a block or 2 south of the arena is having a Paul Pre-Party . . .Buzzard Billy's. That might be fun I'm local but haven't really heard of any scheduled meet-ups. I'm doing soundcheck so will be inside pretty early. I'm sure there will be plenty of folks walking around the arena and doing limo watch! Have fun and enjoy the show!!

      Thanks so much!

Maybe it's just me, but I always like to get to my seat rather early and just "take it all in"

You are not alone in wanting to "take it all in". Last August in Washington, D.C. I had second row center seat for two nights. I found it so calming just looking at all the equipment on stage and observing people.

Sorry - no periscope Show was great, soundcheck was pretty good (shorter than when I've done it before). Partial soundcheck setlist (sorry - I'll need help if I missed some!): Honey Don't Alligator All My Loving 20 Flight Rock Midnight Special Ram On Lady Madonna I'll Follow the Sun C Moon We got the setlist w/ Save Us and Birthday (I would have rather had Junior's Farm and I Saw Her Standing There but whatdya do?!) Family of 4 dressed as Sgt Pepper (using t-shirts) called up. Apparently Mom and little girl had been called up/signed previously but Dad got signed this time. Then Paul asked them to stick around and dance on stage during Birthday. A guy at the front barrier proposed to his girlfriend during Something . . .much ado made about that. This is the first show I've been to where someone got called up on stage. I can see where if it was multiple people it would sorta interrupt the rhythm of the show. High energy show . . . I heard some die-hards that have been many times cite it as one of the best shows they've seen. I don't get to go all the time so I pretty much love it every time!

I was much farther away than you and surrounded by people who had never seen Paul before. They thought he was fantastic. Little kid in our row in the lower level at back of arena had a sign. Somewhere he figured out there was no way for Paul to see it. I truly enjoyed myself. Got there early before big lines at the merch stand so I bought a shirt and key chain. I needed a shirt that said Des Moines. Saw you come in Suess. My friend who went to limo watch said the video I shot of the tv news was more than she saw. Station later put up a longer video and showed all the reasons I don't do soundcheck. I soaked in every single song and enjoyed (even the ones from NEW that I don't like). Unless there is a miracle, this was probably my last Paul concert. Final count is 50 and I wouldn't have missed any of them.

What footage about soundcheck did the TV station show? I waited til after the show to look at merch...ended up with a baseball jersey type shirt. I prefer jewelry or trinkets but the shirt caught my eye

Yes, the soundcheck was shorter than usual but it was everything I had hoped for since he played "I'll follow the sun," which I have been trying to hear him play since my wife passed (I had it played at her funeral and it serves as her epitaph). Sorry that I missed meeting up with you, Seuss. You might have noticed my "I'll follow the sun" sign which oobu graciously made for me. Thanks, oobu and Paul!

I'm glad he finally played it for her. I got a song played on the radio for my husband...The End of the End.

It would have been her 60th birthday the day after the concert. I think mine was the only sign at soundcheck so it might have played a part.

Sorry - no periscope Show was great, soundcheck was pretty good (shorter than when I've done it before). Partial soundcheck setlist (sorry - I'll need help if I missed some!): Honey Don't Alligator All My Loving 20 Flight Rock Midnight Special Ram On Lady Madonna I'll Follow the Sun C Moon

Dang it - me too! Would I remember you by what you were wearing?? Were you in Row 3? I can't recall seeing your sign but I love "I'll Follow the Sun" as well. My sympathies regarding your wife . . .I'm really glad Paul played it for you.

Thanks. I was in front row, right in front of Rusty.

I wasn't too far behind you then - Row 3, just off center.
