I don't think it's available through Amazon US yet. Which Amazon did you order it from? Doesn't Perasi post on this forum?

got a phone call on the bus from my McCartney/Beatles hating husband...
My wife isn't very Beatle/Macca friendly either which is a bit ironic being she's English...maybe we can get them together
Well, it seems that even though my husband owns the red and blue Beatles CDs, he'd rather eat glass than listen to them. Yet, the copy of Band on the Run he found was in VG condition, labels and poster VG as well. At least I can get him to look out for all the endless stuff I'm trying to buy...it's "real love", et al. when a parter will do that when they would rather not!
I will *never* be able to understand people like this, they have to be deaf! And I could *never* ever have especially a close (or any) relationship with them. I can't stand even a half of a second of the dreadful banging around sh*t noise ( with no beautiful melodies and harmonies, and creative artistic quality The Beatles music always had even in their rock and harder rock music, and John and Paul's great voices and great singing) screaming screeching horrible Led Zeppelin (Dred Crappelin,)! I have found many people on different music sites and message boards who say the same types of things about Led Zeppelin that I have, and they also say they plagiarized a lot of other music artists songs, but if they did that I wish they had at least made it sound listenable. What type of music does your husband and wife like? Also, I want to let fans know on here that I don't hate Led Zeppelin because they are hard rock,I love The Beatles hard rock, and even though I'm not a fan of The Who and The Rolling Stones,I don't dislike them I just don't like them that much, they sound a 100 times better than Led Zeppelin,Cream sounds good,Jim Hendrix still sounds good, and even Van Halen from the late 1970's early 1980's sound good, and Led Zeppelin makes them sound like a fantastic band! The Boston Globe has an online article from March 2009,called I Confess I Don?t Like? written by all of their music critics and Luke O?Neil wrote that when people talk of classic bands they don?t like they?re really speaking in coded language. He said for example ?I don?t like The Beatles.? is the same as saying,?I?m a liar? he said but when I say I don?t like Led Zeppelin there?s no subtext. He then says a lot of it has to do with Robert Plant?s fiendish helium-powered caterwauling. He says he tends to prefer bands with vocalists not police sirens in tight pants. He also said the lyrics which run the gamut unimaginative doggerel to too-imaginative fantasy goofs don?t help. He then says sure they inspired a lot of great bands, but should we not then hold them accountable for the thousands of downright awful imitators they?ve inspired? Remember that whole hair metal thing in the 80?s? He says who do you think put the bustle in those dudes hedgerow? And grunge? He says that was basically goateed Led Zeppelin on Smack. Rock critic John Mendelson never liked Led Zeppelin either. As The Rolling Stone Album Guide said, not liking The Beatles is as perverse as not liking the sun. And Ozzy Osbourne said not loving The Beatles is like not loving oxygen he's been a huge Beatles fan since he was a teenager when they first came to America, and he picked She Loves as one of Rolling Stone Magazine's Greatest Songs of All Time, and he loves the Sgt.Pepper album. Some years ago he told I think Spin Magazine, that Paul McCartney is a genius and The Beatles are The Greatest Band Ever.Countless other well known successful, respected rock musicians and music artists have said this too, over their own selves as solo artists and over their own groups. I have found posts on different message boards over the years from over 100 former ignorant Beatles haters who are now big fans, and most of them now had said they were brilliant singer song composers and many said they think they were the greatest band ever. Most of these people hadn't even heard most of their great music, and many unfortunately had the common ridiculous ludicrous misperception that The Beatles were ever a ''boy band'',which as a poster ReverandRock who is both a reverend, rock musician, and a big Beatles fan said on a classic rock site years ago, that anyone who knows The Beatles history knows it's totally ludicrous to even suggest such a thing. And a guy who runs Keno's Classic Rock n Roll Site and who runs a Rolling Stones and John Lennon fan site says in his review of The Beatles 1967-1970 Blue Album damn The Beatles were one great group and he said in his great review of The Beatles 1962-1966 Red album, that if you don't love or at least like The Beatles and their music then you are not a true rock fan and more than likely will never ever get it.

I actually came on this topic to find out if any fans on here bought the new Paul McCartney Life Magazine issue and is it well done and worth 14$ because I want to buy it today. Also Life Magazine had the same John Lennon very good tribute in 2005 that I have. I read online somewhere that they did a George Harrison and Beatles tribute too once, but I never saw or heard about them, especially the George Harrison one. I might have seen their Beatles tribute on amazon.com once, but I'm not sure because there are so many different magazine Beatles tributes over the years and recently with the 50th anniversary.

Nancy R:
I just finished reading the LIFE mag Paul issue (which of course talks about the Beatles in detail too) Really good issue and lots of great photos!
Nancy R does it have some information that wasn't written about before, and some rare never before seen pictures of Paul and his family etc and is it worth the 14$? If you can let me know more details I would really appreciate it.

I"ve got the LIfe Magazine. Better text then most. I saw the George tribute. It was full of good pictured intending to be pulled apart and made into posters but limp text
-
Thank you Kathyrn O ,but what do you mean about the text? Is there any new information about Paul and a lot of good to great information in it and any rare pictures of Paul and his parents, brother, aunts etc? If you can let me know, I really would appreciate it.

I don't have time do go over the entire mag, but a cursory glance--many new (to me) photos and of course a lot of the ones we've all seen. I'm a "completist" and I have the spare cash, so for $14, I had to have the mag! (plus they had me at the cover photo!) I got every single one that came out recently!

Thank you for answering me,but what I really want to know is if there is any new good enough information that it's really worth buying it. I'm really surprised that there aren't any reviews for it anywhere online not even amazon.com and it's been out for a few months now.The John Lennon issue has good reviews on amazon.com but it came out back in 2005.
