Just found an article in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, posted on Tuesday, that mentions Paul as a possibility of coming to Pittsburgh....and that "everybody wants Paul here this summer": http://community.post-gazette.com/blogs/popnoise/archive/2010/03/30/consol-energy-center-will-it-be-paul-mccartney.aspx
We're getting warmer
Definitely!

I know for years Paul has said he won't return to Pittsburgh until we got a new arena. If not the arena then maybe PNC Park. They did have Billy Joel/Elton John on tap for this year but since that tour was scrapped, maybe they went ahead and tried for Paul. Because the rumor for the big artist opener for the new arena is Paul or Bon Jovi and Bon Jovi always comes to Pittsburgh but he has yet to announce it, so it's really hard to say.

If it is Paul, I predict it will be the quickest sellout of the tour.

I really hope he comes here. It would be nice not to have to travel hours to see him.... It seems like a LOT of you are planning to come here if it does happen, we are going to have to organize a big party!!!!

Yeah, everyone I talk to about this seems to put a damper on my excitement and tell me "You know, it might be pretty hard getting tickets for that one..." Great... and I was actually hoping to get the best and closest seats possible! ha! We shall see..

Reason why I hate presales and online ticketing. I'd like it to go back when you go to your local ticketmaster outlet and camp out and wait in line. Worst thing about this show happening is the scalpers who will get their hands on the tickets before anyone else does. Also I'm noticing ticketmaster holding back great seats at concerts and selling them for higher prices for charity. Ticketmaster always finds a way to screw people over.
-
I've told my parents older friends about this show possibly happening and they keep saying well you have to get me tickets so we all sit together. Sorry, getting more than 2 tickets just makes your chances a whole lot harder getting in the door.

I agree. I know it sounds selfish, but you need to get your seats and then help your parents' friends to get tickets after you have yours! If this Pittsburgh rumor holds to be true, I'm probably going with a group of 4 people, but we are going to split it 2 and 2. I'm just not chancing it! When I'm at a McCartney concert, I don't pay attention to who I'm with anyway!

"Ticketmaster always finds a way to screw people over" Always a true statement. I'm hoping this rumour becomes reality though, I'd definitely take a trip to PA!

As of now I could be a group of 3...that makes things slightly harder...but it could just be me and my grandmother. Nothing in stone yet. Hard to plan for a concert tha doens't exist
