NYC, NY - Madison Square Garden - 9/15 and 9/17 - CONFIRMED
-
Just went in a few minutes ago to Prudential tix as I promised to try to get 2 seats together for my friend. Believe it or not, I got the tix and it turns out they are a few seats away from me. It pays to keep trying. When I tried for 2 tix this morning it said nothing available. I think once the madness of the presales are over, you might want to try again

Guys, from your past experince, when the general sale starts, will it be more tickets they make available? Is there any significant difference between fan pre-sale and general sale?

Absolutely. That doesn't mean they won't go fast, but almost everything will be out and available. Some venues stagger ticket releases, but I'm not sure of the protocol for this and it is never anything too substantial.

WE'RE IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Row ONE of Section 106 Seats 14-16...not cheap, but those are gonna be damn good seats. That is an enormous weight off my shoulders. Took about ten minutes but finally churned up three seats together and ran with it!!! Can't believe we're seeing Sir Paul at the garden! WOOO!!!!! Gonna fulfill the prophecy and have my "long hair out at Madison square"
"Can't believe we're seeing Sir Paul at the garden! WOOO!!!!! Gonna fulfill the prophecy and have my "long hair out at Madison square" " Was there in 1976 when he sang that the first time - lol.

...my mom was nine.

Fingers crossed that he plays Rock Show
-
My expectations on "surprises"... 1. Venus and Mars/Rock Show 2. Brand New Music 3. Billy Joel
-
I think Billy Joel is a given, Rock Show would not surprise me, although unlikely. Stranger things have happen. New music is almost 100% certain for that show.

I know that the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Target Center in MSP and Veterans Memorial Arena in Jax all do that. So fairly common.

Gosh, I'd LOVE all of those. At least I got to see Rock Show at AT&T (not the same as MSG or Hollywood Bowl of course), and got Billy at Citifield.

Anybody go after the general sale today with any luck?

I've been checking it out partially out of curiosity and it's another hot mess. After a couple of hits in the first minute, all I've gotten since then for every option is "Sorry, there was an error with search. Try again later." I think Ticketmaster needs to seriously update their infrastructure to handle Paul MSG shows. I'd actually suggest folks check out StubHub as there are a bunch of okay deals on there at the moment, and you can make a much more relaxed and informed decision.

In the beginning I was getting the same error: "Sorry, there was an error with search. Try again later" then they switched to newer design and at least now I see available tickets. But as I click "Buy" they feed me with "Sorry, we could not process your request, please try again later".

There are plenty available and they appear to be releasing them in batches so all the best seats aren't necessarily sold first. I was trying to score 3 seats together which it appears is much more difficult than 2 together. I ended up paying $850 each for the Gold Hot Seat Package with 14th row section C. I was hoping to just get 3 of the $375 tickets but everytime they come up I get a "fan beat you to it" message..

I have been checking out of curiosity as well. And every time I click a seat, it says "a fan beat you to the ticket," but then moments later the same seat is still available to buy.

Ah, if anyone else was only getting the error message and not seeing the available tickets, try clearing your cache. Fair warning, though, there isn't that much there and it looks like it's mostly VIP package seats that are still available.

Cleaning cache helped! What is Chase Cardmember Preffered?

special allotment of tickets for people with Chase credit cards. You probably need part of your card number or the 800 number as the unlock code.

OK, I ended up with a ticket for Brooklyn show. Not bad either)
-
According to Ticketmaster, only a handful of exceptionally overpriced VIP packages remain...
