NYC, NY - Madison Square Garden - 9/15 and 9/17 - CONFIRMED
-
well I knew it would be special seeing Paul at The Garden but I had no idea how special...I'm a big Springsteen fan but I never thought I would get to see both of them together, but it finally happened. Just amazing and crazy fun too. The rest of the show was terrific, Paul was very pleased with the audience and it was nice to have the setlist shakeup, even tho they were all songs I have seen him do before.

Watching on YouTube, that was probably the best "Give Peace a Chance" I've heard from Paul since the World Tour days. Seems like he got into it a bit more since it's been awhile.
__________________________________________________________ Finally saw the video of Day in the Life and Give Peace a Chance and no doubt it did create a huge spark to the show. I was predicting that Paul would bring these 2 back since before the Tampa show. Makes so much sense with the 50th Anniversary of Sgt. Pepper and all the world problems. I'm so happy especially for the faithful "true" fans to get an amazing show. The subtle changes to the Setlist did make a big difference (wished I was there which wasn't the case for the other previous US shows) and when Paul introduced Bruce, you could hear the roof almost blowing off MSG. I never get tired of "I Saw Her Standing There" so that's another song I'm so glad he added. As I also mentioned earlier, the acoustic portion of the show is very good too. Love Paul's solo guitar on "In Spite of All the Danger" and the rendition of "You Won't See Me" is actually better to me than the album version. I really like the way the Band does Juniors Farm and Jet so those 2 changes also improved the setlist considerably. I also never get tired of "All My Loving" so with these changes, it was a show that I wished I attended. Again, happy for the "faithful" fans who were there.

Subtle changes still don't do it for me. I like them but still would not make me change my mind about spending over $100 per ticket to see him again. I love "Jet" as much as anyone but it has been played very often over the years. "Day In The Life" is cool but once again, he has been there and done that and he still is not doing solo songs he has never done live. Very cool having Springsteen as special guest and it was the first time they have played together at McCartney concert. My only minor complaint is I believe they did "I Saw Here Standing There" twice. If that is true, I just want to shake my head. Why not do something like "Twist And Shout" like they did at Springsteen show in London a couple of years ago. Anyway, glad it was the "Boss" as special guest and not Billy Joel again. Finally, yes it was great evening for first timers and somebody who maybe has seen him once before. The best thing to me about the concert was that his voice sounded pretty good in the youtube clips I heard.

Hi ya all! I made it to NYC. I stay at the nearest hotel to the venue...always have so I can get back easily. This hotel is next door to MSG but room is tiny & not so cheap. Glad to have made it here. Always feel like I won the lottery when I finally get to where I'm going.. Would rather win Paul's guest contest.....â??ï¸ð??¥ð???â??ï¸â??ï¸â??ï¸ Anyone know who did?

______________________________________________________ I hear you Yankeefan. When you imagine how much better the setlist could be for the harder core fans (nothing from Chaos, MAF, Flaming Pie and only one song from Tug of War) we are definitely frustrated. Still the Setlist from Friday night was the best one yet from this leg of One on One. While some of the songs were done before, I don't get tired of hearing I Saw Her Standing There, All My Loving, I've Just Seen a Face, And I Love Her etc. The Springsteen appearance was great so that alone makes me wish I was there. Doing the song twice was perplexing. Perhaps Paul wasn't happy enough with it and he wanted to get it better the 2nd time for future use on a video. The last thing you are absolutely right about...Paul's voice did seem much better. I noticed that even on his vocal with Bruce, he seemed spot on. No doubt the guy still has it from a performing point of view. Just a shame he doesn't bring out just a few of his great Solo songs. I will never quite understand it.

It was great evening for me and all of my FOTR friends who have seen him many many times. Just something extra special for me at MSG. Really happy we get to do it all over again tonight! WIX Rocks, Sorry I didn't get a chance to come and say hello, I was running late. Glad you enjoyed the Rock Show.

No worries, we were too actually...didn't get into our seats until 8:15! Good thing we can count on Paul not being on time.

Well, this guy isn't very happy about Paul starting late: @PaulMcCartney be polite. You said 8,00 pm. Respect the audience. 1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes @PaulMcCartney I want my money back "sir" Paul. 0 replies 0 retweets 0 likes @PaulMcCartney You may be a star. But if you dont respect people you're not worthy. What a shame @PaulMcCartney i didnt come here to listen recorded music. You are too old to play on time (Bet he forgets all about it after the show starts!)

Just hit the stage. AHDN opener.

Lol dude never goes to a rock and roll concert.

He kept it up, too! A few other people commented about it starting late, too. The tickets should stop saying, "Paul may take the stage promptly at 8", advising you to be there early. (Yes, it does say "may", but that "promptly" throws most people off.)

"Setlist 1", for as much as you can still speak of that. 'Save Us'. "So unnecessary" #jayzvoice

I love the US, but this is such an American problem ...

Some old songs, some new songs. "Good evening New York City! ... Good evening New Jersey..." 'Can't Buy Me Love' of course.

I need to hear this version of CBML better on a good audience tape this week, but I hear 2012-like notes on the verses, it's remarkable. The chorus is being masked by the band, but McCartney isn't choking on the verses like he infamously did in 2016, often featured in the press samples, doing damage in Europe which can't be made undone. Drinking it all in. 'Letting Go'.

I'm not finding any broadcasts...anyone else find anything?
