The Syracuse University celebration is student run with student performers and will not have any food. Just down the hill at the Sheraton University Hotel, there is an outdoor tailgate party (with a bar) from 5-7pm with the area's finest Beatles tribute musicians performing songs. There is a restaurant inside but it will be slammed, for sure. There are a few restaurants (both national chains, and locally owned) just another block down on Marshall Street. Get up there EARLY if you want a free street parking spot. Otherwise, Google "Syracuse Armory Square restaurants" and there are some really nifty places that can satisfy all palates. Those are downtown, and you'll need a taxi or Uber/Lyft to get to the Carrier Dome.

2 weeks away! CAN'T WAIT! Can anyone recommend places to eat around Syracuse University? Or possibly things to do before the concert? I heard that SU is hosting some kind of "McCartney Festival" with Beatles/Paul -themed performances, trivia, etc. -Rubber Soul13

anyone know what merch is sent out with the premium tickets. I'm just curious to know so I don't end up buying the same thing I may already own if it doesn't arrive before the show saturday?

Getting very excited for this show! Printed all my maps, directions, instructions, reservations this morning as we are travelling from Ontario. Love all the NY merchandise on the official site! Hoping to be able to buy some in Syracuse to avoid all the shipping fees, currency conversions etc.

Here's a wonderful article about a Syracuse fan meeting Paul in 1993 on the set of SNL http//www.syracuse.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2017/09/beatles_fan_has_waited_for_paul_mccartney_to_play_in_syracuse_since_1993.html

I have 2 floor level section 11 tickets available for FV they are in row b seats 1-2 pm if interested. I've been on the NYC run of shows and don't feel the need to go up to the Dome to see him play and would love for another fan to have the opportunity to see him perform. Lucas

Looking for advice about parking at Skytop and taking the shuttle to the venue. My mom walks with a cane, and I'm a bit concerned that once we get off the shuttle, she will have to stand in line for a long period of time (depending on when they open the doors, which is scheduled to be at 6 pm but I know from past experience that sometimes soundcheck goes long). My plan was to get to the parking lot around 6, and then hopefully all will work out. However, I don't want to leave things too late, as I have no experience with Syracuse traffic or this parking system. Does the lot fill up early? Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? TIA.

TOMORROW! Can't believe it's here! BTW, any boardies want to meetup before the show?

Guess I'm going to be interviewed on syracuse.com tomorrow -I know many people have attended more concerts, but I guess I have the local record! I'm both ops: and . Best advice is to arrive early & hang out on Marshall St. Faegan's Pub has great food, Varsity Pizza can't be beat. Also love King David's mediterranean food. It' about a 10-15 walk to the dome from there. Phoebe's is another great place about 6 blocks down fro M. St., so plan accordingly. The Sheraton is having a party 5-7 and is right near the neighborhood. The Hill is a very friendly place - enjoy the SU campus. Traffi is not a huge problem if you're patient; we are used to big crowds. Enjoy your trip to my home town & my alum town. I'm more of a basketball fan than football. As we Say, GO SU!

Sounds like the Skytop parkng and shuttle are my best bets as it all sounds like too much walking for mom, especially if there are hills. We'll bring snacks and maybe an old lawnchair that we can abandon if need be. Thanks.

Syracuse! Have a great show!

Church Bells on Montgomery St near Clinton Square are chiming Beatles tunes. Just heard MICHELLE and LADY MADONNA. So cool! Also I did a dry run walking to the dome this morning- beprepared for steep hills! If you are driving prepare for gridlock I am being told
